Background: The OPERA trial has shown that a contact X-ray brachytherapy 50 kV (CXB) boost with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) can increase organ preservation (OP) rate for early rectal adenocarcinoma (ADK) of low-mid rectum. We report the results after 5 years of follow-up.
Patients And Methods: OPERA was a multicentre, phase III trial that included operable patients (pts), with cT2-cT3b low-mid rectal ADK, tumours <5 cm, cN0 or cN1 <8 mm.
Purpose: The standard treatment of T2-T3 rectal adenocarcinoma is radical proctectomy by total mesorectal excision often combined with some neoadjuvant treatment. To reduce morbidity of this surgery, organ preservation strategy using various combination of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and local excision is gaining interest. Some randomized trials have proven the feasibility of such approaches.

Yet, findings are inconsistent regarding negative symptoms, while other dimensions such as disorganization, depression, and excitement, have not been investigated. In addition, meta-analyses use aggregated data discarding important confounding variables which is a source of bias.

Methods: Each gastroenterologist/radiologist pair in 13 centers selected MREs from 6 patients with SB-CD stratified on their perceived MRE inflammation severity.
This study aimed to determine whether dissociative symptoms and childhood trauma (CT) may help identify a specific subgroup of patients among those hospitalized for alcohol use disorder (AUD). We assessed 587 patients hospitalized for an AUD in a French addiction rehabilitation center (cross-sectional study) regarding dissociative symptoms (DES-taxon), childhood trauma (CTQ), depression (BDI), anxiety (STAI-state and STAI-trait), posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD; PCL-5), and AUD symptoms (AUDIT). We ran a hierarchical cluster analysis and compared the clusters in terms of dissociation and CT, as well as AUD, depressive, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms.

Methods: Retrospective collection of data from pediatric patients treated at a single institution.
The influence of psychosocial stressors on psychosis risk has usually been studied in isolation and after the onset of the disorder, potentially ignoring important confounding relationships or the fact that some stressors that may be the consequence of the disorder rather than preexisting. The study of subclinical psychosis could help to address some of these issues. In this study, we investigated whether there was (i) an association between dimensions of subclinical psychosis and several psychosocial stressors including: childhood trauma, self-reported discrimination experiences, low social capital, and stressful life experiences, and (ii) any evidence of environment-environment (ExE) interactions between these factors.

Methods: Data were collected for all subjects with first contact for psychosis aged between 18 and 64 years, in two catchment areas in the Paris region. Incidence rates (IR) and incidence rate ratios (IRR) were adjusted for gender and age.
Background: The conventional dose rate of radiation therapy is 0.01-0.05 Gy per second.

Aims: Up to 40% of patients who have received radiation for a pelvic malignancy will develop locoregional recurrence in the previously irradiated volume. Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) has been used in the oligometastatic setting, and provides an ablative approach ideal for reirradiation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcomes after SBRT reirradiation of extraosseous recurrences in the pelvis.

Hospitalization can improve PTSD and AUD outcomes in some but not all patients, but we lack data on the baseline predictors of PTSD non-remission. This study aimed to determine the baseline risk factors for non-remitted PTSD in patients hospitalized for an AUD.

We explored this association in alcohol use disorder (AUD) inpatients. In total, 551 inpatients cross-sectionally completed self-administered questionnaires regarding sociodemographics, lifetime trauma exposure, PTSD Checklist for , Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS), and Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS).

Methods: We examined the factor structure of the SPQ-B, we compared the mean SPQ-B scores between reliable and unreliable responders and between high vs. low social desirability responders, and we re-run the factor analysis restricting the sample to the reliable or low social desirability responders.
Background: Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) and watch-and-wait policy as reported by Habr-Gama are references for organ preservation in rectal cancer. To increase the clinical complete response (cCR) and reduce the local recurrence rates, we report a retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort of selected T2-3 tumours treated in three French institutions using contact X-ray brachytherapy (CXB) with nCRT.
Methods: Tumour selection was based on digital rectal examination (DRE), rigid rectoscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or endorectal ultrasound.
Background: To evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for the treatment of bone metastases.
Methods: A single-center prospective study was made involving 17 consecutive patients with symptomatic bone metastases. Patients were treated by Focused Ultrasound (FUs) performed with magnetic resonance (MR) guidance.

Objectives: Incidence-prevalence-mortality (IPM) models have been developped to estimate incidence or prevalence when one of these two measures is unavailable. We aimed to test the consistency of an IPM model of psychotic disorders on a recent incidence-prevalence couple dataset and to identify potential causes of inconsistency by applying the model to (a) the whole population, (b) female and male subgroups, (c) migrant subgroups, and (d) psychotic disorders with age at onset (AAO) between 18 and 24 (18-24 AAO).
Methods: We modelled prevalence (MP) using incidence data and the expected mortality and remission values.
Background: Interventional radiology procedures in cancer patients cause stress and anxiety. Our objective was to relate our experience in the use of sophrology techniques during interventional radiology procedures and evaluate the effects on patient's pain and anxiety.
Methods: We present a prospective observational study on 60 consecutive patients who underwent interventional radiology procedures in a context of oncologic management from September 2017 to March 2018.
Childhood traumas have been extensively associated with the development of psychotic disorders. However, our understanding of processes underlying this relationship remains poor. In order to address this issue, we examined which specific aspects of childhood trauma are significantly associated with a first episode of psychosis.

In addition, differences in the dimensional scores of schizotypy according to gender and age were analyzed. As the study in the general population of schizotypal traits and its determinants has been recently proposed as a way toward the understanding of aetiology and pathophysiology of schizophrenia, consistent self-report tools are crucial to measure psychometric schizotypy.

However, little is known about how they interact in schizophrenia. We examined the main effect of each of these two environmental factors on the clinical expression of the disease using a large set of variables, and we tested whether and how cannabis and CT interact to influence the course and the presentation of the illness.
