Purpose: Recently, cases of serious illness in newborns infected with Echovirus 11 have been reported in Europe, including Italy. Here, we report the case of a newborn diagnosed with disseminated Echovirus 11 infection, which occurred in October 2023 in the Province of Bolzano, Italy.
Methods: A molecular screening, by Real-Time RT-PCR, was employed to analyse the cerebrospinal fluid, blood and stool samples, and nasal swabs.
Unlabelled: Music therapy (MT) is a complementary therapy offered to children, young adults, and their families in pediatric oncology and palliative care. We performed a survey to collect information about MT in pediatric oncology in Italy. The outbreak of COVID-19 unavoidably changed the scenario of MT, suggesting some considerations presented in this survey.

Even few cases occurring in a small community can cause considerable apprehension among the population. From 2014 to 2017, 4 cases of childhood cancer occurred in Valle di Ledro, a municipality of 5,300 inhabitants in Province of Trento (Northern Italy), and a group of concerned citizens asked provincial health authorities for an investigation.

Methods: We analyzed electronic health record data for DAA-naive patients with chronic HCV infection engaged in HCV care at Boston Medical Center between 2014 and 2018.
Introduction: The health status and health care needs of immigrant populations must be assessed. The aim of this study was to evaluate barriers to accessing primary care and the appropriateness of health care among resident immigrants in Italy, using indicators regarding maternal health, avoidable hospitalization, and emergency care.
Methods: Cross-sectional study using some indicators of the National Monitoring System of Health Status and Healthcare of the Immigrant Population (MSHIP), coordinated by the National Institute for Health, Migration and Poverty (INMP), calculated on perinatal care, hospital discharge, and emergency department databases for the years 2016-2017 in nine Italian regions (Piedmont, Trento, Bolzano, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Latium, Basilicata, Sicily).
Bees are fundamental insects in agroecosystems, mainly due to pollination. However, its decline has been observed in recent years, and the contamination by pesticides is suspected to be responsible. This relationship is the objective of our research, which is the first scientometric study on this subject.

They live in colonies and are frequently found resting on the beach. However, it is also common to find dead pinnipeds on beaches, sharing the environment with humans, domestic animals and other wild species on the coast and facilitating the transmission of pathogens.

First considered as non-toxic or slightly toxic to bees, GLY and its different formulations have shown, more recently, to affect negatively the survival, development and behavior of these insects, even when used in doses and concentrations recommended by the manufacturer. Thus, the results of research on the toxicity of GLY to bees are often conflicting, which makes a meta-analysis interesting for data integration, generating a statistically reliable result.

Design: cross sectional study of some health and health care indicators among Italian and foreign population residing in Italy in 2016-2017.
Setting And Participants: indicators based on the national monitoring system coordinated by the Italian National Institute for Health, Migration and Poverty (INMP) of Rome, calculated on perinatal care (CedAP), hospital discharge (SDO), emergency services (EMUR) archives for the years 2016-2017, by of the following regions: Piedmont, Trento, Bolzano, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Basilicata, Sicily.
Telenomus podisi Ashmead, 1893 is an important biocontrol agent, both in conventional and organic production systems. It can be used in association with other control strategies, such as natural botanical products and biological insecticides. Studies of selectivity and side effects are fundamental for proper management of insect control strategies because the interaction between different control strategies may negatively affect T.

We describe three children who developed an osteosarcoma after receiving treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which included an allogeneic bone marrow transplant (BMT). We discuss the therapeutic options. None of the patients responded to conventional chemotherapy, but one patient given regorafenib showed a temporary response.

Background: Prior studies have demonstrated only modest effects in reducing utilization among safety-net patient populations. Interventions that address health-related social needs have the potential to reduce utilization in these populations.
Background: It is unclear whether sites that screen large numbers of patients for Hepatitis C Virus but achieve limited follow-up are more or less effective at having patients succeed through linkage and treatment than lower volume sites that have higher linkage percentages. The objective was to compare the rates of HCV identification, linkage to care, and treatment success between different study sites including the Emergency Department, 3 outpatient clinics with unique patients, and the inpatient setting at one medical center.
Methods: This is a descriptive analysis of 2 years of data from a protocol that integrated HCV screening and treatment into clinical services throughout multiple departments in one medical center.

We report on the case of a 12-year-old girl, who presented with an ovarian germ cell tumor and cytopenia (anemia and thrombocytopenia) as an associated paraneoplastic syndrome, which gradually regressed after the tumor's removal. This report adds to the previously described paraneoplastic syndromes potentially associated with ovarian germ cell tumor.

A cross-sectional, inter-country comparison using independent samples (40-69 years of age) from two (one in Australia, one in Italy) similar risk factor and chronic disease surveillance systems. None of the three groups (Italians, Australian-born and Italian-born Australians) had definitively worse health although the Italians had high rates for four of the seven risk factors reported (current high blood pressure, current high cholesterol, current smoking, eating less than five fruit and/or vegetables per day) than Australian-born and Italian-born Australians.

COPD patients from six family medicine clinics (FMCs) participated in a 1-year educational program offered by trained case managers who focused on treatment adherence, inhaler techniques, smoking cessation, and the use of an action plan for exacerbations. Health-care utilization, health-related quality of life (HRQL), treatment adherence, inhaler technique, and COPD knowledge were assessed at each visit with validated questionnaires.

Showing that physicians in primary care settings can deliver HCV infection care is important to expand treatment; models doing so in the era of newer oral HCV medications are needed.

Rough data, derived from real scale measurements on a three-bladed Troposkien vertical-axis wind turbine, are manipulated in a convenient form to be easily compared with the typical outputs provided by simulation codes. The here proposed data complement and support the measurements already presented in "Wind Tunnel Testing of the DeepWind Demonstrator in Design and Tilted Operating Conditions" (Battisti et al.
