A 50-year-old female presented with a 10-day history of progressive swelling and pain in the left lower extremity, ultimately diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS). Initial ultrasound indicated thrombosis involving the left external iliac, femoral, and popliteal veins, among others. Blood tests revealed normocytic anemia, but thrombophilia screening and other blood markers were normal.

This study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of intravenous ferric carboxymaltose (FCM) in antenatal women with anaemia in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
Methods: A single-arm prospective cohort (before-after) study among 60 antenatal women with moderate to severe anaemia in the second and third trimesters was conducted from December 2020 to December 2022, and the eligible women were given 1000 mg of intravenous FCM injection.
Chemotherapy treatment against pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is thwarted by tumoral activation of multiple therapy resistance pathways. The growth hormone (GH)-GH receptor (GHR) pair is a covert driver of multimodal therapy resistance in cancer and is overexpressed in PDAC tumors, yet the therapeutic potential of targeting the same has not been explored. Here, we report that GHR expression is a negative prognostic factor in patients with PDAC.
