Purpose: To determine diagnostic precision with magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the brain, the most predictive MR imaging features, and the added value of comparison with previous data for the diagnosis of asymptomatic progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) associated with natalizumab (NTZ).

Article Synopsis
  • The study assessed low-dose biplanar skeletal surveys (LDB SS) versus digital skeletal surveys (SS) for detecting bone lesions in multiple myeloma patients, focusing on image quality, patient comfort, and radiation exposure.
  • Results showed that while the digital SS detected more lesions overall, patient satisfaction was higher with LDB SS due to less radiation exposure.
  • Ultimately, LDB SS is not a complete replacement for digital SS in all multiple myeloma cases, especially in patients with severe osteopenia or obesity.*
