Background: Disinfection of the root canal system is a challenge to all clinicians, calcium hydroxide Ca(OH) one of the most popular intracanal medications used for this purpose, has some unwanted effects on dentine. This study aimed to investigate the antibiofilm effect of Nanochitosan (CSNPs) and Calcium hydroxide Ca(OH) intra canal medications and their effect on the microhardness and chemical structure of radicular dentine.
Methodology: A total of 52 extracted human mandibular premolars were used.

Background: Candidemia is a widespread threat that can lead to significant complications in healthcare settings.
Objectives: Our study aimed to identify isolates of Candida isolated from blood culture bottles of patients with candidemia and assess their antifungal susceptibility profiles.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study at Cairo University tertiary care hospitals over 16 months including 90 patients.
The rising demand for innovative antimicrobial solutions has shifted focus towards silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), especially those produced through eco-friendly methods. This study introduces a novel approach utilizing actinomycetes strains-Streptomyces albus, Micromonospora maris, and Arthrobacter crystallopoietes-to biosynthesize AgNPs with remarkable antibacterial properties. Through molecular characterization, we identified unique features of these nanoparticles, and computational modeling suggested significant ion-ligand interactions with proteins 6REV and 3K07.

However, information regarding the available fabrication techniques for producing custom-made PEEK post-and-cores and their effect on accuracy is still scarce.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the trueness and intaglio fit of custom-made PEEK post-and-cores fabricated using different techniques.
The intensified global challenge of antimicrobial resistance, set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, is a cause for major concern. Within healthcare settings, intensive care units are recognized as focal points for Gram-negative infections. The study pursued to assess the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance patterns of critical priority pathogens (, , Enterobacteriaceae, comprising and ) during both pre- and COVID-19 periods.

Most guidelines consider systemic treatments only in rapidly progressive disease with wider surface areas. This delay in halting the immune attack, may give the chance for further disease progression as well as establishment of resident memory T-cell population predisposing to future relapses.

Its stabilizing effect in dark skin has been debatable. However, randomized controlled trials regarding NB-UVB ability to control disease activity are lacking.

In this intra-patient comparative study, 12 patients with stable non-segmental vitiligo (NSV) affecting the middle three fingers of one hand were included. Three variations were used in treatment of finger vitiligo lesions: minipuch grafting, melanocytes keratinocyte transplantation procedure (MKTP) preceded by cryoblebbing or full CO laser resurfacing of the recipient site.

Thus, we aimed to determine the prognostic value of the CTNNB1 mutational status, and its correlation with β-catenin expression, in a well-annotated cohort of 51 ovarian endometrioid carcinomas. We performed immunohistochemistry for β-catenin and developed an 11-gene next-generation sequencing panel that included whole exome sequencing of CTNNB1 and TP53.

Partial response to therapy and long duration for repigmentation are common. Meanwhile, camouflage may help through concealing vitiligo lesions and improving patient confidence and self-esteem.

Objective: To assess the value of silicone gel application following minipunch grafting and the histopathological and immunohistochemical changes in cases with cobblestoning.
Methods: Minipunch grafting was performed in two similar vitiligo lesions in 27 cases with stable vitiligo.
Addition of different growth factors to the medium used in autologous melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation procedure (MKTP) was reported in the literature. The aim of the current study was comparison of response to MKTP in segmental vitiligo (SV) with and without adding growth factors to the suspension medium. Eighteen cases with SV were randomly divided into two groups.

Trypsinization of the epidermis may be done either at 4°C overnight (cold) or at 37°C for 30 to 50 minutes (warm). Recently, trypsinization was done at room temperature (25°C) in an in vitro trial.

The International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting recommends grading OMC using the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) system for endometrial endometrioid carcinoma, when needed. The growth pattern (expansile versus infiltrative), a known prognostic variable in OMC, is not considered in any grading system.

Its prognostic value has been validated in endometrial carcinoma and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma. Moreover, a similar prognostic grouping has been recently documented in endometrial clear cell carcinoma.

Autologous non-cultured melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation procedure (MKTP) is one of the simplest cellular grafting techniques. Various modifications were done over the years to make the technique easier and more economical which led to its great popularity among dermatologists. Proper patient selection and good technical skills are essential for achieving success with this technique.

However, previous reports claim superior prognostication by using the Silverberg grading system for ovarian carcinoma. Thus, a thorough comparison between FIGO and Silverberg in OEC is still warranted.

This study investigated the clinical-pathologic characteristics and outcome of EAOC compared with other ovarian carcinomas that are not associated with endometriosis (non-EAOC) in a large cohort. Seven hundred two patients meeting the inclusion criteria were further subclassified as group I when patients had ovarian carcinoma associated with or arising within endometriosis (EAOC) and group II when patients had non-EAOC.
