Background: Anemia is one of the global public health concerns. Despite the availability of effective treatment options, reducing its prevalence remains challenging.
Objectives: The objectives of this study were to investigate family-centered health education intervention in improving iron - folic acid adherence and anemia status, knowledge, attitude, and practices.
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic overburdened the healthcare system and affected the mental health of healthcare workers. Yoga has proven to improve mental health correlates, within diverse population groups, including healthcare workers. Considering the pandemic-imposed restrictions, this trial was designed to study the feasibility and effect of tele-yoga intervention on burnout, sleep quality, depression, anxiety, stress, mindfulness, and immune markers of healthcare workers on COVID-19 duty.

Intermolecularly, the regioselective addition of two distinct nucleophiles across the olefin is a challenging process in hypervalent iodine catalysis. We introduce here a unique strategy using simple lithium salts for hypervalent iodine catalyst activation.

The present study aimed to study the predictive value of these hematologic parameters in progression of COVID-19 to severe pneumonia.
Methods: This was an analytical cross-sectional study conducted among RT-PCR or radiologically proven COVID-19 patients in a tertiary care hospital in Rajasthan.
Steel Plate Cold-Rolled Commercial (SPCC) steel is known to have long-term durability. However, it still undergoes corrosion when exposed to corrosive environments. This paper proposes an evaluation method for assessing the corrosion level of SPCC steel samples using eddy current testing (ECT), along with two different machine learning approaches.

There is an abundance of evidence, but little is known regarding the regional prevalence estimates of GDM in India. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to provide valuable insights into the national and regional prevalence of GDM among pregnant women in India.

Methods: In this retrospective study, we retrieved data of those patients who had undergone SFIOL surgery from January 2018 to May 2022 at our institute for aphakia following either a complicated cataract surgery or an ocular trauma and had a minimum follow-up of 3 months.
Results: Of the 156 eyes, the HS technique was done in 80 eyes and the remaining 76 eyes with XNIT.
This report outlines a versatile strategy for synthesizing a diverse array of N-heterocycles. By the utilization of common olefins, this simple protocol facilitates their coupling with various bifunctional reagents. Furthermore, it can be integrated with C-H amination techniques to directly produce N-heterocycles in a multicomponent cascade coupling process.

Background: The video describes a technique in scleral fixation intraocular lens (SFIOL) surgery that is very simple and easily reproducible by any novice surgeon.
Purpose: This technique may serve as a simple option for tucking the haptic of a multipiece IOL into the sclera without the need for the scleral flap, scleral pocket, forceps, glue, or flange.
Synopsis: The two most crucial steps in scleral fixation intraocular lens (SFIOL) surgery are 1) the exteriorization of the haptic, and 2) the fixation of the exteriorized haptic.
Purpose: To analyze the outcomes following conventional internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling versus perfluoro octane-assisted inverted flap technique for large macular holes (MH).
Methods: A consecutive 99 eyes of 99 patients were enrolled {45 - conventional group and 54 - inverted flap (InFlap) group}. The primary outcome was a difference in closure rate.
Diet-induced obesity and hyperlipidemia are a growing public health concern leading to various metabolic disorders. Capsaicin, a major bioactive compound obtained from natural chili peppers, has demonstrated its numerous beneficial roles in treating obesity and weight loss. Current treatment involves either administration of antiobesity drugs or surgical procedures such as Roux-en-Y-gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, both of which are associated with serious side effects and poor patient acceptance.

Human-robot teams collaborating to achieve tasks under various conditions, especially in unstructured, dynamic environments will require robots to adapt autonomously to a human teammate's state. An important element of such adaptation is the robot's ability to infer the human teammate's tasks. Environmentally embedded sensors (e.

Mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a protein kinase that integrates multiple inputs to regulate anabolic cellular processes. For example, mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1) has key functions in growth control, autophagy, and metabolism. However, much less is known about the signaling components that act downstream of mTORC1 to regulate cellular morphogenesis.

We found that senescent fibroblasts and epithelia were not only refractory to macrophage-mediated engulfment and removal, but they also paralyzed the ability of macrophages to remove bystander apoptotic corpses. Senescent cell-mediated efferocytosis suppression (SCES) was independent of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) but instead required direct contact between macrophages and senescent cells.

The goal of this study was to reveal profibrotic and prohomeostatic macrophage phenotypes that could guide the design of new therapeutic approaches targeting macrophages to treat fibrotic disease. This study used nintedanib, a broad kinase inhibitor approved for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, to dissect lung macrophage phenotypes during fibrosis-linked inflammation by combining and bulk and single-cell RNA-sequencing approaches.
