Biochemical Pathways Regulated by Algae to Mitigate Global Carbon Emissions: A Review.

Carbon dioxide (CO2), being an important greenhouse gas (GHG) significantly present in Earth's atmosphere, has been increasing because of several anthropogenic activities leading to global warming. Globally, various efforts have been made to confront climate change, and various CO2 capture and storage methods have been designed. This review aims at describing detailed studies about algae and the methods used by algae to capture and sequester carbon from the atmospheric environment.

Classification of childhood medulloblastoma into WHO-defined multiple subtypes based on textural analysis.

Childhood medulloblastoma is a case of a childhood brain tumour that requires close attention due to the low survival rate. Effective prognosis depends a lot on accurate detection of its subtype. The present study proposes a texture-based computer-aided categorization of childhood medulloblastoma samples.

Diagnosis and Prognosis of brain tumour in children is always a critical case. Medulloblastoma is that subtype of brain tumour which occurs most frequently amongst children. Post-operation, the classification of its subtype is most vital for further clinical management.

Pediatric central neurocytoma: Case report and review of literature.

Central neurocytomas are slow-growing primary brain tumors of neuronal origin having a predilection to arise mostly in the lateral ventricles. We report a case of a 9-year-old girl who presented with headache and vomiting of 1-month duration. Her magnetic resonance imaging was suggestive of central neurocytoma of the third ventricle and was surgically managed, and tumor tissue was sent for histopathology and immunohistochemistry which confirmed the diagnosis.

Cerebellospinal hemangioblastoma with bilateral pheochromocytoma and hepatic cyst: A rare entity.

A 45-year-old gentleman presented with headache, dizziness, and unsteadiness of gait. On imaging, he was found to have a cerebellar and a spinal intramedullary hemangioblastoma. To rule out Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease, we did screening of the whole abdomen with ultrasonography followed by contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the abdomen, and surprisingly, the patient was having bilateral adrenal pheochromocytoma and a hepatic cyst.
