In this work, we review some physical methods of macroscopic experiments, which have been recently argued to be promising for the acquisition of valuable characteristics of biomolecular structures and interactions. The methods we focused on are electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. They were chosen since it can be shown that they are able to provide a mutually complementary picture of the composition of cellular envelopes (with special attention paid to mycobacteria), transitions between their molecular patterning, and the response to biologically active substances (reactive oxygen species and their antagonists-antioxidants-as considered in our case study).

Introduction: Despite the rapid development of neuroimaging techniques, the diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) remains a significant challenge. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is important for ruling out ALS mimickers, while Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) is a useful tool for the identification of cortical tract damage. We found that the modification of the NAP molecule by substituting a hydrogen atom from the hydroxyl group strongly inhibits the crystallization tendency of this active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and simultaneously increases its glass forming ability (GFA). In this context, it is worthwhile to stress that pure naproxen and its amide crystallized very quickly, regardless of the cooling rate.

In this paper, the molecular dynamics of a series of ester derivatives of ibuprofen (IBU), in which the hydrogen atom from the hydroxyl group was substituted by the methyl, isopropyl, hexyl, and benzyl moieties, has been investigated using Broadband dielectric (BD), Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Raman spectroscopies. We found that except for benzyl IBU (Ben-IBU), an additional process (slow mode, SM) appears in dielectric spectra in all examined compounds. It is worth noting that this relaxation process was observed for the first time in non-modified IBU (a Debye relaxation).
