Purpose: Developmental language disorder (DLD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts approximately 7% of the population and is characterized by unexplained deficits in expressive and/or receptive components of language. A common procedural learning task, serial reaction time (SRT), has been used to develop models of the basis of DLD. However, paradigms involve differing levels of implicit and explicit learning during this task, muddying interpretations of the data.

Pelvic organ prolapse affects one in three women, and cystocele accounts for 80% of the indications for surgery. Following the withdrawal of transvaginal mesh from the market, the objective of the present before-and-after study was to compare of the previous reference technique (Uphold (Boston Scientific, Marlborough, MA, USA) mesh insertion) with anterior sacrospinous ligament fixation with suturing in terms of the outcomes 2 months after surgery. We performed a retrospective, observational, before-and-after study at Lille University Medical Center (Lille, France) by including consecutive patients operated on between 2011 and 2018 for Uphold mesh insertion and between 2018 to 2020 for anterior sacrospinous ligament fixation.

The problem of vortex shedding, which occurs when an obstacle is placed in a regular flow, is governed by Reynolds and Strouhal numbers, known by dimensional analysis. The present work aims to propose a thin films-based device, consisting of an elastic piezoelectric flapping flag clamped at one end, in order to determine the frequency of vortex shedding downstream an obstacle for a flow field at Reynolds number Re∼103 in the open channel. For these values, Strouhal number obtained in such way is in accordance with the results known in literature.

Introduction: Although influenza can lead to adverse outcomes during pregnancy, the level of influenza vaccine coverage among pregnant women remains very low. According to the literature, a high level of knowledge about influenza disease and the influenza vaccine is one of the main determinants of vaccination coverage. The objective of the present study was to describe pregnant women's level of knowledge of these topics and to identify any corresponding determinants.

Disseminated histoplasmosis, with the adrenal glands as being the only site of demonstrable disease in an immunocompetent adult, is a rare infection leading to adrenal insufficiency. This disease carries high mortality when unrecognised. We describe the first reported case of adrenal histoplasmosis in the Philippines in a 72-year-old immunocompetent, Filipino man who presented with a 3-month history of intermittent flank pain, weight loss and generalised weakness.

Introduction: In terms of prophylactic cerclage, the simplest and most commonly used technique is the McDonald cervical cerclage. Cervico-isthmic cerclage techniques may have better results, but are more difficult to achieve. A simplified Shirodkar technique would have the advantage of being "cervical high" while remaining easy to achieve.

Erbium-doped organic emitters are promising active materials for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) due to their emission shown at 1550 nm combined to the potential low cost processing. In particular, Erbium Quinoline (ErQ) gained a strong interest in the last decade for the good emission efficiency. This contribution reports the results derived from the application of ErQ as active core material within a buried optical waveguide, following the development of a purposed optical process to control the refractive index of ErQ and then to define a patterned structure from a single thin film deposition step.
