Purpose: Developmental language disorder (DLD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts approximately 7% of the population and is characterized by unexplained deficits in expressive and/or receptive components of language. A common procedural learning task, serial reaction time (SRT), has been used to develop models of the basis of DLD. However, paradigms involve differing levels of implicit and explicit learning during this task, muddying interpretations of the data.

(SARS-CoV-2), primarily targets the respiratory system. This study describes the characteristics associated with mortality among patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 at a single hospital in Baguio City, Philippines.
Methods: We reviewed medical records (including history, laboratory results and treatment regimen) of 280 confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted to a single hospital during March-October 2020.
Background: Although influenza viruses cause significant morbidity and mortality worldwide, the impact of these infections on children in France and in other European countries has not been extensively characterized. The primary objective of the present study was to describe the burden of influenza disease on hospitalized children under 2 years of age in France, using data from the national hospital discharge summary database (Programme de Médicalisation des Systèmes d'Information, PMSI).
Methods: In a retrospective study of hospital admissions for influenza among children under the age of 2 in France, we extracted and analyzed hospital administrative data from the PMSI database (from January 1, 2011, to December 31, 2020).
The problem of vortex shedding, which occurs when an obstacle is placed in a regular flow, is governed by Reynolds and Strouhal numbers, known by dimensional analysis. The present work aims to propose a thin films-based device, consisting of an elastic piezoelectric flapping flag clamped at one end, in order to determine the frequency of vortex shedding downstream an obstacle for a flow field at Reynolds number Re∼103 in the open channel. For these values, Strouhal number obtained in such way is in accordance with the results known in literature.

According to the literature, a high level of knowledge about influenza disease and the influenza vaccine is one of the main determinants of vaccination coverage. The objective of the present study was to describe pregnant women's level of knowledge of these topics and to identify any corresponding determinants.

Objectives: To identify factors related to the occurrence of severe neonatal acidosis in case of planned caesarean section.
Methods: Case-control study conducted between 1997 and 2016 among women with planned caesarean delivery at term. Cases were women whose neonates had neonatal arterial pH<7,0.
Disseminated histoplasmosis, with the adrenal glands as being the only site of demonstrable disease in an immunocompetent adult, is a rare infection leading to adrenal insufficiency. This disease carries high mortality when unrecognised. We describe the first reported case of adrenal histoplasmosis in the Philippines in a 72-year-old immunocompetent, Filipino man who presented with a 3-month history of intermittent flank pain, weight loss and generalised weakness.

Introduction: Vaginal mesh has been proven to be an effective aid in the treatment of cystocele. Could an ambulatory approach be feasible for the Uphold Lite®-mesh?
Hypothesis: We investigate the feasibility of an ambulatory approach of Uphold Lite® insertion in a well-selected population. Risk factors for a non-successful ambulatory approach are identified.
Introduction And Hypothesis: The surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is associated with specific complications. Our primary objective was to assess the recurrence requiring reoperation after prolapse surgery, and our secondary objectives were to assess the early complications and secondary surgery for urinary incontinence.
Methods: Retrospective study of a population-based cohort of all hospital or outpatient stays including POP surgery from 2008 to 2014, using the French nationwide discharge summary database.
Objective: To determine the diagnostic accuracy and optimal threshold of the spot protein-to-creatinine ratio (PCR) compared to the gold standard, 24-hour proteinuria (24HP) in patients with suspected pre-eclampsia.
Methods: A prospective observational study was performed from June 2015 to May 2017 consisting of patients hospitalized for suspected pre-eclampsia in a tertiary care referral center. To compare the two diagnostic tests, a spot urine sample was obtained to perform the PCR before starting the collection of the 24HP.
Background: Although vaccination of pregnant women against influenza is recommended, the vaccination rate remains low. We conducted a study to identify determinants of influenza vaccination uptake in pregnancy in order to identify strategies to improve seasonal influenza vaccination rates.
Methods: Prospective observational hospital-based study in the French hospital performing the highest number of deliveries, located in the city of Lille, among all women who had given birth during the 2014-2015 influenza season.

Cervico-isthmic cerclage techniques may have better results, but are more difficult to achieve. A simplified Shirodkar technique would have the advantage of being "cervical high" while remaining easy to achieve.

Objective: Different classification of fetal heart rate (FHR) pattern have been proposed: FHR classified as either "reassuring" or "non-reassuring", the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) published in 2008 a 3-tier system, the French College of Gynecology and Obstetrics (CNGOF) recommended in 2013 a 5-tier system and recently in 2015, the Federation International of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) proposed a new classification based on a 3-tier system. Our objective was to assess the inter-observer reliability of these 4 existing classifications.
Study Design: Four observers reviewed 100 FHR without clinical information.
Erbium-doped organic emitters are promising active materials for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) due to their emission shown at 1550 nm combined to the potential low cost processing. In particular, Erbium Quinoline (ErQ) gained a strong interest in the last decade for the good emission efficiency. This contribution reports the results derived from the application of ErQ as active core material within a buried optical waveguide, following the development of a purposed optical process to control the refractive index of ErQ and then to define a patterned structure from a single thin film deposition step.
