Direct repair of ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) injuries with suture augmentation has been successful in properly selected patients lacking chronic attritional wear of the medial elbow. Described is a Speed-Fix technique for direct UCL repair using SutureTape, with Brace augmentation. The Speed-Fix repair technique uses an inverted mattress knotless repair with a knotless SwiveLock anchor and FiberTape suture, which allows for theoretical compression at the repair site.

Cancer cells are heterogeneous, each harboring distinct molecular aberrations and are dependent on different genes for their survival and proliferation. While successful targeted therapies have been developed based on driver DNA mutations, many patient tumors lack druggable mutations and have limited treatment options. Here, we hypothesize that new precision oncology targets may be identified through "expression-driven dependency", whereby cancer cells with high expression of a targeted gene are more vulnerable to the knockout of that gene.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to answer the following questions: (1) What is the quality of informed consent in spine surgery, including both neurosurgery and orthopaedic spine surgery? (2) What limitations impede the ability of surgeons to engage in effective shared decision-making (SDM) and obtain adequate informed consent? (3) What strategies and solutions may improve the quality of informed consent and SDM? (4) What factors decrease the incidence of litigation in spine surgery?

Results: SDM is a collaborative process where patients are involved in their treatment choices through open communication about risks, alternatives, and postoperative expectations.

Methods: Our novel patient selection tool was prospectively applied to 190 consecutive primary THA and TKA performed by a single surgeon at a single ASC. We identified the proportion of patients discharged home the same day, those requiring a one-night stay, or those with failed discharge within 23 hours.
