23 cases of rotary instability of the knee have been reviewed with an average follow up of 5 years. They have been treated by a combination of pes anserinus transfer using Slocum's technique with medial transposition of the tibial tubercle. Functionally the results were satisfactory and there was no antero-posterior instability.
