We report on the first measurement of the triangular v3, quadrangular v4, and pentagonal v5 charged particle flow in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt(s(NN)) = 2.76 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. We show that the triangular flow can be described in terms of the initial spatial anisotropy and its fluctuations, which provides strong constraints on its origin.

Soybean (Glycine max L.), the main source of protein throughout the world, is used both as a food and a feedstuff. Currently, limited information about the occurrence of Fusarium species and mycotoxins in soybean grain and by-products is available.

For plant-produced mAbs specifically, the cost of protein A capture step is critical as the economic benefits of plant production systems could be erased if the downstream processing ends up being expensive. To avoid potential modification of mAb or fouling of expensive protein A resins, a rapid and efficient removal of phenolics from plant extracts is desirable.

The charged-particle density normalized per participating nucleon pair increases by about a factor of 2 from peripheral (70%-80%) to central (0%-5%) collisions.

Methods: Thirty-eight patients (age: 65 ± 7 years, 29 male), whose underwent CABG with extra-corporeal circulation.
Background: Sedation for heart catheterization has been a cause for concern. Benzodiazepines, alpha-2 adrenergic agonists and opioids are used for this purpose. However, each drug has advantages and disadvantages.

Objective: The present study aimed to assess the clinical and histological changes associated with the injection of methylprednisolone into the intrathecal space of dogs.
The biogeochemical processes affecting the transport and cycling of terrestrial organic carbon in coastal and transition areas are still not fully understood. One means of distinguishing between the sources of organic materials contributing to particulate organic matter (POM) in Babitonga Bay waters and sediments is by the direct measurement of delta(13)C of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and delta(13)C and delta(15)N in the organic constituents. An isotopic survey was taken from samples collected in the Bay in late spring of 2004.

Method: A search was carried out in two electronic databases, Medline and SciElo by retrospective studies, longitudinal and review that assessed risk factors for the development of aggressive behavior.
Results: There were selected 11 longitudinal studies (8 prospective and 3 case-control studies) and a cross sectional study that evaluated the risk factors and socio-biological related to aggressive behavior.
Background: As a result of amitriptyline's vast array of actions, it could potentially be used as an intraspinal adjuvant in neuraxial anesthesia and/or in the treatment of refractory neuropathic pain. None of the previous studies examining the safety profile of intraspinal single doses of amitriptyline found signs of toxicity at concentrations below 15.4 mM/L (0.

Plant hosts present a different set of impurities from which the proteins must be purified compared to other expression hosts such as mammalian cells. In this work, phenolic compounds present in extracts of monoclonal antibody (mAb)-expressing Lemna minor were examined.

One of the radiotherapeutic modalities for gynecological cancer treatment is brachytherapy, characterized by the placement of radioactive materials near the tumor. This treatment can bring side effects for patients. Due to the emotional issues involved, the objective of this research was to apprehend studies about psychological repercussions related to brachytherapy treatment in women with gynecological cancer, through a literature review.

In the peripheral nervous system, antibodies targeted to voltage-gated potassium channels induce hyperexcitability of motor axons, resulting in signs of muscle stiffness or of pseudomyotonia. A spontaneous burst of single motor-unit activity, and myokymic and neuromyotonic discharges, are the most characteristic features found in electromyography studies.
