Few studies using Positron Emission Tomography with F-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG-PET) have examined the neurobiological basis of antipsychotic resistance in schizophrenia, primarily focusing on metabolic activity, with none investigating connectivity patterns. Here, we aimed to explore differential patterns of glucose metabolism between patients and controls (CTRL) through a graph theory-based approach and network comparison tests. PET scans with F-FDG were obtained by 70 subjects, 26 with treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS), 28 patients responsive to antipsychotics (nTRS), and 16 CTRL.

They are activated in response to hypotonic swelling, but little is known about their specific functions. We studied two human individuals with the same congenital syndrome affecting blood vessels, brain, eyes, and bones.

Our aim was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of PSMA PET/CT and MRI, alone and combined, for detection of extraprostatic extension (EPE) and seminal vesicle invasion (SVI) in PC.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter retrospective study evaluating patients undergoing PSMA PET/CT and MRI before radical prostatectomy.
Artificial intelligence (AI) models can produce output that closely mimics human-generated content. We examined individual differences in the human ability to differentiate human- from AI-generated texts, exploring relationships with fluid intelligence, executive functioning, empathy, and digital habits. Overall, participants exhibited better than chance text discrimination, with substantial variation across individuals.

Although it is a well-documented disease, there is no widely accepted treatment. However, several therapeutic approaches have been proposed.

The use of tissue-level implants with a convergent transmucosal profile has been advocated to increase space for soft tissue, contributing to improve their stability and esthetics. The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the esthetic outcomes and the Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) of immediately placed implants with a convergent transmucosal profile.

Materials And Methods: The study included patients presenting with one implant placed in an ARP-treated socket and one in an SH site. The primary outcome was the comparison of Marginal Bone Level Changes (MBLC).
Purpose Of Review: The goal of this review is to summarize the potential causes of anaphylaxis in the different holiday contexts, providing practical suggestions aimed to mitigate the stress challenged by allergic patients because of unfamiliar situations.
Recent Findings: A regard was reserved to potential food triggers, particularly uncommon ones and typical of certain destinations, and to arthropods responsible for anaphylaxis.
Summary: This review highlights the potential risk of anaphylaxis due to the unusual contexts more experienced during holidays (i.
Purpose: To assess if PSMA PET quantitative parameters are associated with pathologic ISUP grade group (GG) and upgrading/downgrading.
Methods: PCa patients undergoing radical prostatectomy with or without pelvic lymph node dissection staged with preoperative PSMA PET at seven referral centres worldwide were evaluated. PSMA PET parameters which included SUV, PSMA, and total PSMA accumulation (PSMA) were collected.
Oxidative stress and high levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) are linked to various age-related diseases and chronic conditions, including damage to oral tissues. Dexamethasone (DEX), a widely used glucocorticoid in dentistry, can have side effects like increased ROS production and delayed wound healing. Resveratrol (RSV) is known for its antioxidant properties, but its limited bioavailability hinders its clinical use.

Abortion is one of the most important causes of economic losses in sheep livestock and, for this reason, it is very important to know, at an early stage, which pathogens caused abortion.
Aim: The aim of the study is to obtain data about the distribution of abortifacient pathogens in the Italian regions of Latium and Tuscany, the awareness of the distribution of infectious agents causing abortion could allow the development of an appropriate vaccination and prophylaxis plan, to avoid major economic losses.
Background: The present systematic review evaluated clinical and radiographic features and treatment outcomes of peri-implantitis-induced medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws (Pi-MRONJ).
Materials And Methods: Literature search was performed in PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane CENTRAL, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. Studies reporting Pi-MRONJ were included.
Secondary primary malignancies (SPM) have been reported after anti-BCMA or anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T-cell therapies. While the cytotoxic effect of antecedent therapies, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy, has been well established, few data are available on risk related to CAR-T immunotherapies. The study aimed to analyse the incidence of SPM in 651 patients enrolled in the Italian prospective observational CART-SIE study.

Tomato is one of the most extensively grown and consumed horticultural products, and although it can withstand a wide range of climatic conditions, heat stress can affect plant growth and development specially on the reproductive stage, severely influencing the final yield. In the present work, the heat stress response mechanisms of one thermotolerant genotype (E42) were investigated by exploring its regulatory gene network.

Here, we investigated glutamatergic functional connectivity by a postsynaptic density immediate-early gene-based network analysis. Pregnant female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two experimental groups: one exposed to stress sessions and the other serving as a stress-free control group.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn the last decades, the development of PET/CT radiopharmaceuticals, targeting the Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), changed the management of prostate cancer (PCa) patients thanks to its higher diagnostic accuracy in comparison with conventional imaging both in staging and in recurrence. Alongside molecular imaging, PSMA was studied as a therapeutic agent targeted with various isotopes. In 2021, results from the VISION trial led to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of [Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 as a novel therapy for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and set the basis for a radical change in the future perspectives of PCa treatment and the history of Nuclear Medicine.
