To study the best substrate for the Indian subcontinent, four different substrates (sawdust + wheat bran, wheat straw + wheat bran + corn cobs, sawdust + corn cobs and wheat straw + wheat bran) were screened for six different Flammulina velutipes strains. The antioxidant and antibacterial properties were studied for these strains. In study it was found that the strain DMRX-767 and DMRX-768 were the most promising for yield and biological efficiency in all substrates and wheat straw + wheat bran being the best with respect to BE.

Dual-comb lasers are a new class of ultrafast lasers that enable fast, accurate and sensitive measurements without any mechanical delay lines. Here, we demonstrate a 2-µm laser called MIXSEL (Modelocked Integrated eXternal-cavity Surface Emitting Laser), based on an optically pumped passively modelocked semiconductor thin disk laser. Using III-V semiconductor molecular beam epitaxy, we achieve a center wavelength in the shortwave infrared (SWIR) range by integrating InGaSb quantum well gain and saturable absorber layers onto a highly reflective mirror.

We compare the gain and continuous wave lasing properties of two InGaSb-based vertical external cavity surface emitting lasers (InGaSb VECSEL) with different heat management approaches operating at a center wavelength of around 2 . To date, intracavity heatspreaders have been required for good average output power, which have many trade-offs, especially for passive modelocking. Here we demonstrate a record high average output power of 810 mW without an intracavity heatspreader using a backside-cooled non-resonant VECSEL chip optimized for modelocking.

A triton tumor is a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) with rhabdomyomatous differentiation These tumors account for 5% of MPNSTs and have an extremely poor prognosis.
