Purpose: Molecular classification of endometrial cancer (EC) has emerged as a key approach to individualize therapy and define prognostic outcomes. This study aimed to implement the traditional ProMisE classification in a Brazilian population, compared with a molecular setting of ProMisE biomarkers, and evaluate its impact on patients' prognosis.

Patient And Methods: A prospective cohort of 114 patients with primary EC treated at Barretos Cancer Hospital (BCH) between October 2020 and December 2022 was conducted.

Background: As an extended analysis of the COVID-DELAY study, we aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on diagnosis, staging, and survival outcomes among patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) diagnosis performed from 2019 to 2022.

Methods: All consecutive newly diagnosed CRC patients referred to 11 Italian Oncology Departments between March and December 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 were enrolled. Access rate, demographics, diagnostic-therapeutic temporal intervals, and first-line progression-free survival (PFS) and OS among metastatic patients were assessed.

Background: Physical activity (PA) reduces the risk of developing breast cancer (BC) and mortality rate in BC patients starting PA after diagnosis. Immunomodulation is considered responsible for these effects. However, limited data exist on the immunomodulation induced by moderate PA (mPA) during neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).

Objective: Early detection and treatment of cervical precancers can prevent disease progression. However, in low-resource communities with a high incidence of cervical cancer, high equipment costs and a shortage of specialists hinder preventative strategies. This manuscript presents a low-cost multiscale in vivo optical imaging system coupled with a computer-aided diagnostic system that could enable accurate, real-time diagnosis of high-grade cervical precancers.

In recent years, the molecular subtyping of gastric cancer has led to the identification of novel clinically relevant biomarkers as well as promising therapeutic targets. In parallel, the advent of checkpoint inhibitors has expanded treatment options beyond conventional chemotherapy. Compelling evidence has shown unprecedented efficacy results for anti-PD1-based therapies in the molecular subgroups of dMMR/MSI-h, EBV+ and PD-L1 CPS+ patients, to the point that these are granted approval for gastric cancer adenocarcinoma (AGC) in several countries.

Oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy is extensively used for the treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and other malignancies. Oxaliplatin-related hypersensitivity reactions (HSRs) are common during antitumor treatment. Several studies have been conducted to identify predictive risk factors for oxaliplatin-related HSRs, but findings remain controversial.

Introduction: Metastatic disease to the breast is a rare condition, with contralateral breast metastasis being the most common primary site.

Case Presentation: We present the case of a patient who underwent treatment for an HPV positive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the cervix who, during follow-up, complained of a nodule in her left breast. Anatomopathological results indicating squamous carcinoma, which was not able to be differentiated from breast metaplastic carcinoma.

Growing research has focused on obesity as a prognostic factor during therapy with immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). The role of body-mass index (BMI) in predicting response and toxicity to ICIs is not clear, as studies have shown inconsistent results and significant interpretation biases. We performed a systematic review to evaluate the relationship between BMI and survival outcomes during ICIs, with a side focus on the incidence of immune-related adverse events (irAEs).

Introduction: In the last decade, immune checkpoint inhibitors have revolutionized the treatment of several malignancies including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The inhibition of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) and the programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1) pathways leads to an activation of the immune response against tumor cells. Thanks to a synergistic effect, the combination of the checkpoint inhibitors nivolumab and ipilimumab has the potential to improve outcomes of NSCLC patients.

Background: Most of our understanding on the social behavior and genomics of bees and other social insects is centered on the Western honey bee, Apis mellifera. The genus Apis, however, is a highly derived branch comprising less than a dozen species, four of which genomically characterized. In contrast, for the equally highly eusocial, yet taxonomically and biologically more diverse Meliponini, a full genome sequence was so far available for a single Melipona species only.

In 129 children, aged 12.6 +/- 3.8 years, affected by type 1 diabetes mellitus, the levels of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS), cortisol, T3, fT3, T4, fT4, rT3, TSH, cholesterol, and triglycerides were evaluated and compared with those of a control group of 458 healthy age-matched children.
