Effect of photobiomodulation adjunct to periodontal therapy on individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus regarding periodontal clinical parameters: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the scientific evidence on the impact of photobiomodulation adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment on individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses statement was followed. A protocol was registered in the International Prospective Registry of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO #CRD42022310756).
