Background: The aim of the study was to assess the effects of computerized provider order entry (CPOE) for parenteral nutrition (PN) on selected clinical parameters of extremely low-birth-weight (ELBW) neonates in a tertiary neonatal intensive care unit.

Methods: This study was a retrospective data analysis of preterm infants born over a 1-year period before and after introduction of CPOE. PN composition during the first 2 weeks of life, change in weight, head circumference and body length z-scores were assessed.

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate the health-related behaviours of pregnant women. Maternal health-related habits, use of psychoactive medicines, diet, prevention of neural tube defects, oral cavity hygiene, chronic diseases and physical activity were analysed in a group of pregnant women attending antenatal classes.

Methods: Hundred pregnant women recruited from various antenatal classes in Poznań, Poland, were investigated using a questionnaire based on the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System.

Objective: The aim of the study was to assess disordered eating attitudes and other related factors in mothers of newborns requiring Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) admission compared to those of mothers who delivered healthy infants.

Methods: An anonymous self-report study conducted among 199 mothers of newborns hospitalized in NICU, and a control group of 127 mothers of healthy newborns. Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26) and a survey regarding other perinatal health issues were used.
