Trends and research foci in immunoregulatory mechanisms of allergic rhinitis: a bibliometric analysis (2014-2024).

Background: This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research trends, hotspots, and future directions in the immunoregulatory mechanisms of allergic rhinitis (AR) from 2014 to 2024.

Methods: Data were sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), covering articles and reviews published between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2024. The search terms included "Allergic Rhinitis," "AR," and related terms along with specific keywords related to immune cells and inflammatory mediators.

MALAT1/miR-124/Capn4 axis regulates proliferation, invasion and EMT in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells.

Background: Long non-coding RNA MALAT1 (Metastasis-associated lung Adenocarcinoma transcript-1) has been demonstrated to play a critical role in the regulation of cancer progression and metastasis. However, little is known about MALAT1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) pathogenesis and progression.

Methods: Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was conducted to measure the expression of MALAT1, miR-124 and Capn4 mRNA in NPC cell lines.

Polydatin inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in laryngeal cancer and HeLa cells via suppression of the PDGF/AKT signaling pathway.

Polydatin (PD), a stilbene compound extracted from Polygonum cuspidatum, is suggested to possess anti-cancer activities, including inhibition of cell proliferation, cell cycle arrest, and induction of apoptosis. The platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)/AKT signaling pathway plays complex roles in tumor suppression. However, the effect of PD on the PDGF/AKT signaling pathway in laryngeal cancer and HeLa cells has not been explored.

[Case report and review of a girl with factor VIII deficiency making epistaxis].

The factor VIII gene is located on the X chromosome,making haemophilia A, a sex-linked disorder. Thus on pedigree grounds all daughters of such patients are obligate carriers. One female case of haemophilia A was reported and related literatures were reviewed.
