This research reports a continuous output ionic thermoelectric (i-TE) system based on MXene/PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) hydrogel, by utilizing thermo-diffusion of Cu and Cl ions and the redox reaction involving Cu/Cu at the electrode interfaces. The thermopower of the i-TE system can be independently tuned to a value of -3.13 mVK by adjusting the ion diffusivity via MXene (TiCT).

MXene, as a novel two-dimensional (2D) material, has unique inherent features such as lightweight, flexibility, high electrical conductivity, customizable surface chemistry, and facile solution processability. However, utilizing MXene (TiCT) films for long-term electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding poses challenges, as they are susceptible to chemical deterioration through oxidation into TiO. In this work, an ultrathin heterogeneous film of TiCT MXene integrated with multiwalled carbon nanotubes supporting MoS clusters (MXene/MWCNT@MoS) was developed.

Given the poor prognosis of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), this research aimed to investigate the correlation between tumor size and prognosis, and develop a novel prediction model to guide individualized treatment. Patients pathologically diagnosed with mCRC were recruited from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database between 2010 and 2015, and were randomly divided (7:3 ratio) into a training cohort (n = 5597) and a validation cohort (n = 2398). Kaplan-Meier curves were used to analyze the relationship between tumor size and overall survival (OS).

The classroom is the primary site for learning. A vital feature of classroom learning is the division of educational content into various disciplines. While disciplinary differences could substantially influence the learning process toward success, little is known about the neural mechanism underlying successful disciplinary learning.

Heterogeneous mismatch repair (MMR) status in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) may associate with refractoriness to immunotherapy. We aimed here to study the concordance in MMR status between primary and paired metastasis in mCRC. Our study included 84 patients diagnosed with mCRC with primary and matched metastatic cancers.

To reduce the over-dependence on Pt, Pd-based catalysts have become one of the most effective candidates for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In order to further accelerate the ORR kinetics and strengthen the catalytic performance of Pd catalysts, component optimization and morphology design have been adopted. Although great progress has been made, it is still difficult to obtain porous ultrathin nanosheets with excellent performance by a simple method.

Identification of novel anti-tumor target is crucial for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic strategy. The study aimed to explore the roles and interaction of DEAD-box helicase 21 (DDX21) and cell division cycle 5-like (CDC5L) in colorectal cancer (CRC) progression. Levels of DDX21 and CDC5L were detected in colorectal cancer cell lines by RT-qPCR and Western blot assay.

Ni/diamond composite coatings have been synthesized by ultrasonic-assisted electrodeposition in a Ni electroplating bath containing diamond nanoparticles. The influences of current density and ultrasonic agitation on the coating composition, morphology, topography, phase structure, and electrochemical characteristics of the electrodeposits were evaluated. Ultrasonic agitation was provided using an external ultrasonic bath at a frequency of 40 kHz and acoustic power of 300 W.

As the most representative member of a new emerging family of 2D material, titanium carbides or nitrides (MXenes), TiCT and its 2D assembly format, TiCT film, have displayed outstanding performance in a broad range of practical applications. However the mechanical behaviors of TiCT films are rarely reported. We report a systematic study of the tensile behavior of TiCT films.

A novel Ni-B/TiC composite coating was synthesized by ultrasonic-assisted direct current electrodeposition. Ultrasonic technology was adopted to prevent the agglomeration of nanoparticle, improve the structure and corrosion resistance, using an ultrasonic bath at frequency 40 KHz and acoustic power 300 W. The influences of current density and deposition time on its structure and electrochemical behaviors were studied.

Ni-Cu/TiN nanocomposites were electrodeposited by incorporation of TiN nanoparticles in Ni-Cu matrix from sulphate-citrate bath with additives. Ultrasonic assistance was performed in an external ultrasonic bath at ultrasonic frequency of 40 KHz and acoustic power of 300 W. The effects of current density on surface morphology, structural and electrochemical properties of Ni-Cu/TiN nanocomposites were examined.

The present study investigated the expression of excision repair cross-complementing gene 1 (ERCC1) and thymidylate synthase (TYMS) in patients with colorectal cancer and the predictive value of chemotherapy. Eighty patients with colorectal cancer chemotherapy admitted to Binzhou Medical University Hospital from June 2013 to June 2015 were randomly selected, and 80 cancer tissues and 68 adjacent tissues were taken for analysis. RT-qPCR was used to detect ERCC1 as well as the expression level of TYMS.

Predictive value of serum interleukin 10 (IL-10) and interleukin 18 (IL-18) expression in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) was investigated. This study retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 146 patients with CRC admitted to the Binzhou Medical University Hospital as the study group, and collected the physical examination data of 82 volunteers as the control group. The expression levels of IL-10 and IL-18 in the serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

In response to the increasing concern for energy management, molybdenum disulfide (MoS) has been extensively researched as an attractive anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). The proficient cycling durability and good rate performance of SIBs are the two key parameters that determine their potential for practical use. In this study, nature-inspired three-dimensional (3D) MoS ultrathin marigold flower-like microstructures were prepared by a controlled hydrothermal method.

Unlabelled: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide. B cell-associated protein 31 (BAP31) was shown to participate in the apoptosis, and to be an immunotherapy target and a, prognostic factor for cancer, but its role in CRC has not been elucidated. In this study, we examined the expression of BAP31 in CRC to evaluate its prognostic values.

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are considered promising next-generation energy storage devices. However, a lack of appropriate high-performance anode materials has prevented further improvements. Here, a hierarchical porous hybrid nanosheet composed of interconnected uniform TiO nanoparticles and nitrogen-doped graphene layer networks (TiO @NFG HPHNSs) that are synthesized using dual-functional C N nanosheets as both the self-sacrificing template and hybrid carbon source is reported.

Honeycomb-like nickel cobalt sulfide (NiCoS) nanosheets were directly deposited on fluorine-doped tin oxide substrate by a rapid voltammetric deposition method. The method was also controllable and feasible for preparing NiCoS on flexible Ti foil without any heating processes. Compared with Pt, CoS and NiS, NiCoS exhibited low charge-transfer resistances and excellent electrocatalytic activity for [Formula: see text] reduction, acting as a counter electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell.

Given the emerging role of microRNA in tumor disease progression, we investigated the association between miRNA 10b expression, liver metastasis, and clinicopathological of colorectal cancer (CRC). Two hundred and forty-six pairs of samples (including CRC samples and normal adjacent tissues) from CRC patients were collected from May 2004 to May 2009. All samples verified to contain at least 80% tumor cells, and were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80°C or fixed in 10% formalin for paraffin embedding.
