Significantly enhanced energy output from 3D ordered macroporous structured Fe2O3/Al nanothermite film.

A three-dimensionally ordered macroporous Fe(2)O(3)/Al nanothermite membrane has been prepared with a polystyrene spheres template. The nanothermite, with an enhanced interfacial contact between fuel and oxidizer, outputs 2.83 kJ g(-1) of energy.
