Frequency estimation plays a critical role in vital sign monitoring. Methods based on Fourier transform and eigen-analysis are commonly adopted techniques for frequency estimation. Because of the nonstationary and time-varying characteristics of physiological processes, time-frequency analysis (TFA) is a feasible way to perform biomedical signal analysis.

We propose a novel liquid jet gyroscope based on electrochemical transducers, which uses electrolyte as the jet medium, and two electrochemical transducers placed symmetrically as the velocity measuring unit. The gyroscope includes a fluid pump to generate a jet flow, which flows into the jet chamber. Then, it is diverged into the shunt channels, pumped into reflux channels and merged by a fluid pump.

Article Synopsis
  • Magnetic resonance sounding (MRS) is a new method for directly detecting groundwater in underground environments, which can enhance safety by identifying hidden water bodies before excavation.
  • The study focuses on addressing challenges such as weak MRS signals and electromagnetic interference in mines by developing a specialized antenna system that stabilizes performance and reduces noise.
  • A field test in the Wujiagou Mine, China, demonstrated that the new underground MRS (UMRS) technique effectively predicts hazardous water bodies up to 7-9 meters ahead, providing reliable information for mining operations.

The adaptive filter is an effective method to dealing with such kind of non-steady random signal of the heart rate. The algorithm of clipped- error LMS algorithm with variable step size of segmenting type was proposed. We adopted auto-regression predict filter estimating the noise of heart rate signals through Doppler ultrasound sensor.
