Background: Sarcopenia is a common geriatric condition closely associated with cardiovascular diseases and other health issues. This study aims to investigate the causal relationship between sarcopenia-related traits and electrocardiogram(ECG) indices.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive analysis utilizing summary data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) associated with sarcopenia-related traits, including hand grip strength, lean body mass, and walking pace.
d-Pinitol (DP) is primarily found in , which has been shown to have hypoglycemic and protective effects on target organs. However, the mechanism of DP in treating diabetic sarcopenia (DS) is still unclear. To explore the underlying mechanism of DS and the protective targets of DP by high-throughput analysis of 16S rRNA gene, metabolome, and the proteome.

The complete understanding of its pathogenesis is yet to be unravelled, which makes it difficult to develop effective therapeutic strategies. This study investigates how MFG-E8 affects mitophagy and the protective role of D-pinitol (DP) in diabetic sarcopenia.

However, there is no effective drug for treatments. This study investigated the effect of D-pinitol (DP) on cardiac injury using diabetic mice and glycosylation injury of cardiomyocytes and its molecular mechanisms.

Diabetic cognitive impairment (DCI) is a chronic complication of diabetes associated with a high disability rate; however, its pathogenesis and therapeutic targets are unclear. We aimed to explore the mechanism of hippocampal damage during diabetes and evaluate the potential role of D-pinitol (DP) in protecting hippocampal tissue and improving cognitive dysfunction.

Based on (muscle region of meridian, sinew/fascia) theory and taking the visceral membrane as the principal, acupuncture is delivered at sinew/fascia to promote circulation, resolve stasis and open the orifice. Guided by CT, the needle is inserted at Zhongji (CV 3), the front- point of the urinary bladder, and then goes to the prostatic capsule, meaning "the disease of organ is treated by needling the front- point".

Although the active ingredients of ginseng honeysuckle superfine powdered tea (GHSPT) have been proven to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, the mechanism of GHSPT on PF remains unclear. The present study was to explore the underlying mechanism of GHSPT in treating PF based on proteomics and network pharmacology analysis and to confirm it in vivo.

Introduction: Diabetic sarcopenia (DS) is characterized by muscle atrophy, slower nerve conduction, reduced maximum tension generated by skeletal muscle contraction, and slower contraction rate. Hence, DS can cause limb movement degeneration, slow movement, reduced balance, reduced metabolic rate, falls, fractures, etc. Moreover, the relevant early biological metabolites and their pathophysiological mechanism have yet to be characterized.

To summarize and analyze the clinical application characteristics of Qugu (CV 2) in ancient and modern literature based on data mining technology. The (the 5th edition) was taken as the retrieval source of ancient literature, while the CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases were taken as the retrieval source of modern literature. The indications of Qugu (CV 2) used alone or with compatible acupoints, compatible acupoints, acupuncture-moxibustion manipulation, etc.

One of the big challenges in the field is to find ways to promote energy/electron transfer and exciton dissociation. Addressing this challenge, herein, a series of olefin-linked 2D COFs is fabricated with high crystallinity, porosity, and robustness using a melt polymerization method without adding volatile organic solvents.

However, developing efficient and low-cost photocatalysts remains an unsolved challenge. In this work, ultrathin 2D g-CN nanosheets are coupled with flat TiO nanoparticles as face-to-face 2D/2D heterojunction photocatalysts through a simple electrostatic self-assembly method.

With the proof-of-concept, we exploited a versatile electrophotocatalytic deaminative alkylation approach. Mechanistic investigation indicated that in situ recycling of the alkyl radicals was the key point.

Sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) is a kind of antibiotic that can cause harm to the urinary systems of organisms. However, the toxic impacts of environment-related concentrations of antibiotics in fish have not been thoroughly studied.

The present study explores the underlying mechanism of milk fat globule epidermal growth factor 8 (MFG-E8) on necroptosis-induced intestinal inflammation and intestinal epithelial endocrine cell dysfunction in diabetes. Compared with the normal control group, pathological changes such as blunt and shortened villus and denuded villus tips were observed in ileum tissue of streptozotocin (STZ) induced senescence-resistant 1 (SAMR1) and senescence-accelerated prone 8 (SAMP8) diabetic mice under light microscope.

Hepatic damage has been recognized as one of the major complications in diabetes mellitus. Our previous studies have verified that grape seed procyanidin B2 (GSPB2) played a protective effect on hepatic damage of diabetes. We used isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation proteomics here to identify the alterant mitochondrial protein profile in diabetic liver and to seek the protective targets of GSPB2.

A surface-nanostructured semiconductor photoelectrode is highly desirable for photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar-to-fuel production due to its large active surface area, efficient light absorption, and significantly reduced distance for charge transport. Here, we demonstrate a facile approach to fabricate a nanoporous 6H-silicon carbide (6H-SiC) photoanode with a conformal coating of Ni-FeOOH nanorods as a water oxidation cocatalyst. Such a nanoporous photoanode shows significantly enhanced photocurrent density () with a zero-onset potential.
