- This study analyzed the impact of serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels on clinical outcomes for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine-kinase inhibitors (TKIs).
- The meta-analysis included seven studies, revealing that higher LDH levels were significantly linked to shorter progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), with more pronounced effects in Asian and Caucasian populations.
- The findings suggest that elevated LDH levels may serve as a negative prognostic marker for NSCLC patients undergoing EGFR-TKI therapy.
