Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a severe diabetic complication disorder. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) actively participate in DN pathogenesis. In this report, we sought to define a new mechanism of circ_0003928 in regulating high glucose (HG)-induced HK-2 cells.

Background: Non-gestational choriocarcinoma, also known as primary choriocarcinoma, is extremely rare in men, manifesting with specific signs such as breast feminization, testicular atrophy, and loss of libido. The presentation typically includes elevated serum β-hCG levels, widespread metastatic disease, and a rapid progression of the condition.
Case Report: We present a rare case of a 41-year-old man diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, exhibiting a unique combination of multiple metastases, including lung, brain, bone, and retroperitoneal lymph node metastases, as confirmed by F-FDG PET/CT imaging.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of 2 endoscopic spine surgeries on the biomechanical properties of normal and osteoporotic spines.
Methods: Based on computed tomography images of a healthy adult volunteer, 6 finite element models were created. After validating the normal intact model, a concentrated force of 400 N and a moment of 7.
Background: Ultrasound-guided percutaneous device closure of perimembranous ventricular septal defects (PmVSD) is a minimally invasive recent treatment approach. Perventricular PmVSD device closure is an emerging radiation-free intervention, yet it comes with certain limitations. No studies compared both of these treatment approaches.

It is of great importance to unravel the relationship between sepsis and host immune response and its mechanisms of action. Liver is one of the most vulnerable organs in sepsis, however, the specific pathogenesis of septic liver injury has not been well understood at the protein level.

This study sought to investigate whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) could alleviate cognitive dysfunction in SAMP8 mice by reducing cell apoptosis and activating the cAMP/PKA/CREB signalling pathway. A total of 40 SAMP8 mice were randomly assigned to the SAMP8 group (n=20), and rTMS treatment group (rTMS+SAMP8, n=20); additionally, 20 homologous and normal aged SAMR1 mice were used as the control group(n=20). The Morris water maze and Y maze tests were applied to evaluate spatial learning and memory ability.

We aimed to assess the individual and joint effects of prenatal green spaces, PM, and PM exposure on BMI Z-score of children aged two years.
Methods: The study was based on a birth cohort in Beijing, China, in which 13,253 mothers (LMP from 2014 to 2017) and their children were included.
Subcellular localization of transcripts is highly associated with regulation of gene expression, synthesis of protein, and also the development of the human brain cortex. Although many mechanisms are prevalent in the occurrence of neuroinflammation, the mechanisms based on differences in subcellular localization of transcripts have not been explored. To characterize the dynamic profile of nuclear and cytoplasmic transcripts during the progress of haemorrhage-induced neuroinflammation, we isolated nucleo-cytoplasmic RNA fractions of oxyhaemoglobin (oxy-Hb) treated microglia cells and sequenced both fractions.

Excretory/secretion products of C. sinensis (CsESPs) are involved in parasite-host interactions and contribute to the development of hepatic damage.

Exploration of the potential therapeutic target of SAH is urgently needed. Previous studies showed that long noncoding RNA metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) promotes cell apoptosis in various diseases, while its role in SAH remains unclear.

Ferroptosis, a class of autophagy-dependent cell death discovered in 2012, is induced by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation accumulation. The present study was designed to study the role of baicalin in autophagy-dependent ferroptosis in early brain injury after SAH.

Few studies have been conducted on the closure of atrial septal defect with deficient posterior-inferior or inferior vena cava rim without fluoroscopy. This study evaluated the feasibility and safety of echocardiography-guided transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect with deficient posterior-inferior or inferior vena cava rim.

However, the functional role of USP7 in melanoma remains elusive. Here, we found that USP7 is overexpressed in human melanoma by tissue microarray.

We matched a birth cohort (10,547 children) with daily PM and PM concentrations by maternal home addresses. Air pollution concentrations were predicted by satellite remote sensing data, meteorological factors, and land use information.

This compound is being evaluated as an emerging therapeutic treatment in models of AD.

The morbidity and mortality rates of microsurgical clipping are relatively high, and endovascular embolization is also associated with many complications. In the present report, the case of a 46-year-old female patient who presented with headache and dizziness for 3 years, which was aggravated and combined with limb weakness for 1 day, is presented.
