Ischemic stroke often results in high mortality and significant disability. Current research primarily focuses on understanding neuroinflammation and cell death following a stroke to identify novel therapeutic targets. This study investigates the endothelial cell-specific role of Thioredoxin interacting protein (TXNIP) in ischemic stroke and its underlying molecular mechanisms both in vitro and in vivo.

Objective: The aim of this retrospective study was to analyze the efficacy and risk factors of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in lung cancer patients.
Methods: One hundred lung cancer patients who were treated in our hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects and divided into chemotherapy group (n = 50) and ICIs group (n = 50), in which the chemotherapy group was given the combined treatment of vincristine and cisplatin (NP), while the ICIs group was given ICIs for treatment. The therapeutic effect and adverse reactions (hypertriglyceridemia, anemia, hypertension and hypoproteinemia) of the two groups were compared, and fasting venous blood was collected.
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of surface electromyography combined with a spine 3D data system.
Methods: 10 idiopathic scoliosis patients (age: 12.90±3.
Purpose: To construct a tumor motion monitoring model for stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) of lung cancer from a feasibility perspective.
Methods: A total of 32 treatment plans for 22 patients were collected, whose planning CT and the centroid position of the planning target volume (PTV) were used as the reference. Images of different respiratory phases in 4DCT were acquired to redefine the targets and obtain the floating PTV centroid positions.
Background: The requirement for precise and effective delivery of the actual dose to the patient grows along with the complexity of breast cancer radiotherapy. Dosimetry during treatment has become a crucial component of guaranteeing the efficacy and security.
Purpose: To propose a dosimetry method during breast cancer radiotherapy based on body surface changes.
Background: Miliary Tuberculosis (TB) remains an important infectious disease that threatens human health. The clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of miliary TB are summarized in this study.
Methods: The clinical information of miliary TB patients between 2010 and 2022 was retrospectively analyzed.
Objectives: The recommended treatment for limited-stage small-cell lung cancer (LS-SCLC) is a combination of thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) and etoposide plus cisplatin (EP) chemotherapy, typically administered over 4-6 cycles. Nonetheless, the optimal duration of chemotherapy is still not determined. This study aimed to compare the outcomes of patients with LS-SCLC who received either 6 cycles or 4-5 cycles of EP chemotherapy combined with TRT.

We evaluated post-transplant trends in intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and determined predictors of HPT in pediatric kidney transplant (KTx) recipients.
Methods: In this single-center study, retrospective data were collected on 88 children from 2013 to 2019.
Background: For patients with unresectable locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) is the current standard treatment; however, the prognosis remains poor. Immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy has demonstrated improved survival outcomes in advanced ESCC. Nevertheless, there is a lack of reports on the role of induction immunotherapy plus chemotherapy prior to CCRT for unresectable locally advanced ESCC.

However, diversity and biomass are variable because of their high sensitivity to environmental change in natural ecosystems. How plant diversity, biomass, and driving factors (climates, soils, and plants) in grasslands vary with environmental change remains unclear.

Fibroblasts, a heterogeneous component of the tumor microenvironment, can modulate numerous aspects of tumor biology and have been increasingly acknowledged in dictating the clinical outcome of patients with HNSCC. However, the subpopulation of fibroblasts that are related to the prognosis of HNSCC has not yet been fully explored.

However, the patterns of biological N fixation and its biological or environmental mechanism along an elevational gradient in mountain ecosystems are not fully understood. In this study, a field experiment was conducted in the Hengduan Mountains to investigate the biological N fixation associated with the diversity and abundance of the nifH gene.

At present, there is no report regarding the drug metabolism of BJG in vivo. This work developed an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry method with high accuracy and sensitivity to determine drug metabolism of this compound in vivo.

Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 49 patients with rectal cancer who underwent neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and rectal MRI including a DCE-MRI sequence from November 2014 to March 2021. Two radiologists independently measured DCE-MRI quantitative parameters, including the forward volume transfer constant (K), rate constant (k), fractional extravascular extracellular space volume (v), and the thickness of the rectal wall farthest away from the tumor.
Coal gangue is a kind of solid waste produced in the process of coal mining and washing. Its silicon aluminum silicon aluminum oxide content is high, respectively, which are suitable for resource utilization as raw materials for Si-Al molecular sieving. In this paper, a novel, simple, low-cost, and environmentally friendly process was carried out to prepare ZSM-5 zeolite by solvent free method after calcination, acid leaching, and alkali melting.

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study from a single center experience. The patients who were diagnosed with LARC and received neo-CRT in our department between January 2016 and July 2021 were enrolled.
Objective: To investigate the prognosis of patients with LS-SCLC who responded to chest chemoradiotherapy but did not receive PCI.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on LS-SCLC patients who had achieved complete remission (CR) or partial remission (PR) after definitive chemoradiotherapy but did not receive PCI. The survival rates were calculated using Kaplan-Meier method.
Objective: To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of pathogens among hospitalized patients in the respiratory unit during the COVID-19 pandemic, analyze the risk factors of drug resistance, construct a risk prediction model.
Methods: This study isolated 791 strains from 489 patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University, who were retrospectively enrolled between December 2019 and June 2021. The patients were divided into training and validation sets based on a random number table method (8:2).
PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome (PHTS) is a rare genetic cancer and tumor predisposition syndrome. Due to the wide spectrum of clinical manifestations and variable age at onset, the pathways leading to a PHTS diagnosis are difficult and highly variable. Many patients were found to have PHTS after a cancer diagnosis, missing the opportunity of prevention or enhanced cancer screening.
