This study aimed to investigate the effects of laminarin (LA) and ferulic acid (FA) on the gelatinization, rheological properties, freeze-thaw stability, and digestibility of cassava starch (CS). The results indicated that LA increased the peak viscosity, trough viscosity, final viscosity, storage modulus, and loss modulus of CS, while decreasing the breakdown viscosity. Developing a novel and potent adjuvant with excellent biocompatibility for immune response augmentation is crucial for enhancing vaccine efficacy. Here, we prepared a stable PLGA nanoparticle by encapsulating MnCl/Salvia miltiorrhiza polysaccharide (MS-PLGA) and employed it as an adjuvant in the model antigen OVA (MS-PLGA-OVA) to elicit potent immunity. Rapid declines in opioid analgesics dispensed in American communities since 2011 raise concerns about inadequate access to effective pain management among patients for whom opioid therapies are appropriate, especially for those living in racial/ethnic minority and socioeconomically deprived communities. Using 2011 to 2021 national data from the Automated Reports and Consolidated Ordering System and generalized linear models, this study examined quarterly per capita distribution of oxycodone, hydrocodone, and morphine (in oral morphine milligram equivalents [MMEs]) by communities' racial/ethnic and socioeconomic profiles.
