[Operative strategy and clinical results of complex four part distal radius fractures by combined palmar and dorsal internal fixation].

To explore a standard procedure for the treatment of combined dorsal and palmar internal fixation for complex four part distal radius fractures and assess its clinical results. From May 2009 to October 2016, 38 patients(39 sides)who suffered from complex four part distal radius fractures were performed operatively with open reduction and internal fixation via combined dorsal and palmar approach in Department of Orthopaedic Trauma, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University(Qingdao). The series included 22 males(22 sides) and 16 females(17 sides).

Retrospective study of porcine circovirus 3 infection in China.

PCV3 is an emerging swine virus associated with porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS), reproductive failure, respiratory diseases and systematic inflammation. Although first identified in 2015, the earliest case has been traced back to 2009 in the United States. In China, PCV3 infection was first detected in 2015, but little information has been available about its occurrence and prevalence there before 2015.

Theoretical study of the heats of formation, detonation properties, and bond dissociation energies of substituted bis-1,2,4-triazole compounds.

The heats of formation (HOFs), detonation properties, and bond dissociation energies (BDEs) of a series of energetic bis-1,2,4-trizaole compounds with different substituents were studied using density functional theory at the 6-311 + G(2df, 2p) level. The HOF results indicated that the presence of the substituents -NH, -NO, -NHNO, and -N markedly increases the HOFs of bis-1,2,4-trizaole compounds. The calculated detonation velocities and detonation pressures indicated that the presence of the substituents -NH, -NO, -NHNO, -CH(NO), and -OH strongly enhances the detonation properties of bis-1,2,4-trizaole compounds.

Sirtuin 7 promotes colorectal carcinoma proliferation and invasion through the inhibition of E-cadherin.

Sirtuin 7 (Sirt7) is a member of the sirtuin protein family and is implicated in various carcinomas; however, the function of Sirt7 in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) remains unclear. The present study aimed to explore the biological function of Sirt7 in CRC tissues and cell lines, and to investigate the potential underlying mechanism by performing reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analyses, western blot analyses, luciferase reporter assays, cell proliferation and invasion assays. It was demonstrated that Sirt7 presented a higher expression in CRC tissues and cell lines compared with that in normal tissues and cells, and this higher expression was correlated with the tumor size, the tumor, node and metastasis stage and distant metastasis.

Terpenoids from Vitex trifolia and their anti-inflammatory activities.

A new diterpenoid glucoside, (3S,5S,6S,8R,9R,10S)-3,6,9-trihydroxy-13(14)-labdean-16,15-olide 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), and a new iridoid glucoside, (1S, 5S,6R,9R)-10-O-p-hydroxybenzoyl-5,6β-dihydroxy iridoid 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), along with six known compounds (3-8) were isolated from Vitex trifolia L.. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis.

Local-Curvature-Controlled Non-Epitaxial Growth of Hierarchical Nanostructures.

Site-selective growth on non-spherical seeds provides an indispensable route to hierarchical complex nanostructures that are interesting for diverse applications. However, this has only been achieved through epitaxial growth, which is restricted to crystalline materials with similar crystal structures and physicochemical properties. A non-epitaxial growth strategy is reported for hierarchical nanostructures, where site-selective growth is controlled by the curvature of non-spherical seeds.

The Enhanced Red Emission and Improved Thermal Stability of CaAlSiN₃:Eu Phosphors by Using Nano-EuB₆ as Raw Material.

Synthesizing phosphors with high performance is still a necessary work for phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes (W-LEDs). In this paper, three series of CaAlSiN₃:Eu (denoted as CASN:Eu) phosphors using Eu₂O₃, EuN and EuB₆ as raw materials respectively are fabricated by under the alloy precursor normal pressure nitridation synthesis condition. We demonstrate that CASN:Eu using nano-EuB₆ as raw material shows higher emission intensity than others, which is ascribed to the increment of Eu ionic content entering into the crystal lattice.

Repeatability of corneal elevation maps in keratoconus patients using the tomography matching method.

To assess repeatability of corneal tomography in successive measurements by Pentacam in keratoconus (KC) and normal eyes based on the Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm. Dapsone hypersensitivity syndrome is a rare yet severe adverse drug reaction caused by dapsone, a principal drug in multidrug therapy for leprosy. HLA-B*13:01 has been identified as a strong risk factor of dapsone hypersensitivity syndrome; however, its low positive predictive value indicated that additional genetic variants may be involved in the disease development. To discover contributing genetic variants within HLA loci in addition to HLA-B*13:01, we performed a high-coverage next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based HLA typing analysis in 103 dapsone-hypersensitive and 857 dapsone-tolerant HLA-B*13:01-positive leprosy patients in a Chinese population.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included a total of 167 consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection with D3 lymphadenectomy for CRC between April 2005 and June 2017.

Despite advances in genomic analysis, the molecular origin of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) is complex and poorly explained by described oncogenes. Porcine postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) caused by porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is a disease causing severe economic losses annually worldwide to the pig industry. PCV2 infection was first reported in China in 2000, and currently has three major genotypes, PCV2a, b and d, circulating in this country. To further elucidate the origin and prevalence of PCV2 in China, 123 clinical pig tissue samples collected in 25 provinces between 1990 and 1999 were analysed by PCV2-specific PCR, resulting in identification of 23 PCV2 strains collected between 1996 and 1999.
