Background: Earlier studies have juxtaposed different laparoscopic methods for treating renal tumors; however, extensive evidence with a particular focus on large kidney tumors remains lacking. The objective of this meta-analysis was to assess the perioperative outcomes, kidney performance, and cancer-related results of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) versus laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (LRN) for treating extensive, localized, non-metastatic kidney tumors (cT1b-cT2N0M0).

Methods: We systematically searched multiple databases from database inception until December 2023 for relevant studies.

The oriental fruit fly, (Hendel), is a notorious pest of fruit crops, causing severe damage to fleshy fruits during oviposition and larval feeding. Gravid females locate suitable oviposition sites by detecting the host volatiles. Here, the oviposition preference of antenna-removed females and the electrophysiological response of ovipositors to benzothiazole indicated that both antennae and ovipositors are involved in perceiving benzothiazole.

To satisfy the demand for active remote sensing of ocean salinity, this paper proposes a Raman spectra, salinity, and temperature model for seawater. Seawater is a solution containing a composite salt solute, changes in the solute, temperature, and salinity of seawater can affect the intensity of Raman spectra. It is difficult to directly analyze the influence of various factors on the Raman spectra of seawater.

Objectives: Idiopathic membranous nephropathy (iMN) is a major cause of nephrotic syndrome. Atypical membranous nephropathy (aMN) is a new type of nephropathy in China, characterized by a 'full-house' on immunofluorescent examination, that is IgG, IgA, IgM, C3, C1q positive, but without clinical evidence of a secondary cause. Phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) was the major target antigens in iMN patients.

Glomeruli instance segmentation from pathologic images is a fundamental step in the automatic analysis of renal biopsies. Glomerular histologic manifestations vary widely among diseases and cases, and several special staining methods are necessary for pathologic diagnosis. A robust model is needed to segment and classify glomeruli with different staining methods and apply in cases with various glomerular pathologic changes.

Background: Conventional therapy may be inadequate for many patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) may be a viable alternative, but its effectiveness for axSpA is unknown. We are currently conducting a pragmatic randomised controlled trial (RCT) to investigate the effectiveness of a TCM collaborative model of care (TCMCMC), which combines usual rheumatologic care with acupuncture for patients with axSpA.

Background: Membranous nephropathy (MN) is mainly classified into idiopathic MN (iMN) and secondary MN in etiology. In recent years, a new kind of membranous nephropathy, atypical membranous nephropathy (aMN) which shows "full house" in immunofluorescence but without definite etiology was paid more attention. In a single center cohort, the renal outcomes of iMN and aMN were compared.

Objective: Light chain cast nephropathy is the most common form of renal lesion in multiple myeloma. Kidney impairment caused by light chain cast nephropathy can be reversed and survival can be improved if early diagnosis is available. It is thus of imperative importance to develop a non-invasive method to diagnose light chain cast nephropathy once the kidney biopsy is not always applicable.
