It is difficult to directly analyze the influence of various factors on the Raman spectra of seawater.

A Deep Learning-Based Approach for Glomeruli Instance Segmentation from Multistained Renal Biopsy Pathologic Images.

Glomeruli instance segmentation from pathologic images is a fundamental step in the automatic analysis of renal biopsies. Glomerular histologic manifestations vary widely among diseases and cases, and several special staining methods are necessary for pathologic diagnosis. A robust model is needed to segment and classify glomeruli with different staining methods and apply in cases with various glomerular pathologic changes.

Background: Conventional therapy may be inadequate for many patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) may be a viable alternative, but its effectiveness for axSpA is unknown. We are currently conducting a pragmatic randomised controlled trial (RCT) to investigate the effectiveness of a TCM collaborative model of care (TCMCMC), which combines usual rheumatologic care with acupuncture for patients with axSpA.

A non-invasive differential diagnostic model for light chain cast nephropathy in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients with renal involvement: a multicenter study.

Kidney impairment caused by light chain cast nephropathy can be reversed and survival can be improved if early diagnosis is available. The size of the chloroplast genome is 153,509 bp in length, including a large single copy region (LSC) of 82,302 bp, a small single copy region (SSC) of 17,717 bp, and a pair of inverted repeat (IR) regions with 26,745 bp.

Plasma homocysteine, folate and vitamin B12 levels in Parkinson's disease in China: A meta-analysis.

Epidemiological studies evaluating the associations of plasma homocysteine (Hcy), folate and vitamin B12 levels with Parkinson's disease (PD) in China have produced inconsistent results. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to summarize the relationships. PubMed, Cochrane Library, Elsevier Science Direct, Springer, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), and Wanfang (Chinese) databases were searched for eligible studies from January 2000 to November 2018.

Clinicopathological analysis of IgA nephropathy combined with other glomerular diseases.

It is not rare to find Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN) combined with other glomerular diseases, which can be called compound IgAN (cIgAN). Till now, clinical-pathological investigation of cIgAN was lacking, especially the severity of "background IgAN lesions." This research aimed to investigate the incidence, clinical and pathological characteristics of cIgAN, and thus improve the understanding of the clinical significance of this combination.

IgG4-related kidney disease (IgG4-RKD) with membranous nephropathy as its initial manifestation: report of one case and literature review.

Background: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) often affects multiple organs and tissues, especially the kidneys, and is characterized by interstitial nephritis, obstructive nephropathy, and in rare cases glomerulopathy (including membranous nephropathy).

Case Presentation: In this article, we report a patient with nephrotic syndrome as the only initial manifestation. Membranous nephropathy was confirmed by renal biopsy, but without any renal interstitial lesions.

Background: Axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA) is a chronic disease which results in fatigue, pain, and reduced quality of life (QoL). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially acupuncture, has shown promise in managing pain. Although a TCM collaborative model of care (TCMCMC) has been studied in cancer, there are no randomized controlled trials investigating TCM in AxSpA.

Association between ambient air pollution and Parkinson's disease: Systematic review and meta-analysis.

Air pollution has been evaluated as a possible risk factor for Parkinson's disease (PD), but, the present results are inconsistent and have not been combined. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate the association between long-term exposure to ambient air pollution and PD, given the nature of disease etiology. A total of 10 studies were identified by searching Web of Science, Science Direct, and PubMed before October 2017.
