Purpose: To investigate the genetic diversity of IncG plasmids, we have proposed a typing scheme based on replicon and performed comparative genomic analysis of five IncG plasmids from China.
Methods: p30860-KPC, p116965-KPC, pA1705-KPC, pA1706-KPC and pNY5520-KPC total in five IncG plasmids from clinical isolates of and , respectively, were fully sequenced and were compared with the previously collected reference plasmid p10265-KPC.
Results: Based on phylogeny, IncG-type plasmids are divided into IncG-I to IncG-VIII, the five plasmids belong to IncG-VIII.

The spread of the plasmid-mediated colistin resistance gene, mcr-1, into carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) clinical isolates poses a significant threat to global health. Here we report the identification of three mcr-1-harboring carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli strains, collected from three patients in two provinces in China. This study investigated the dynamic expression of C5aR and C5L2 on neutrophils and their effects on neutrophil function. We found that sepsis patients displayed low expression levels of C5aR and C5L2 on neutrophils compared to healthy and systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) subjects, and this expression pattern was correlated with disease severity.
