Prostate cancer is a major global health burden, with biochemical recurrence (BCR) following radical prostatectomy affecting 20-40% of patients and posing significant challenges to prognosis and treatment. Emerging evidence suggests a critical role for differentially expressed in normal and neoplastic cell () domain-containing genes in oncogenesis; however, their implications in prostate cancer and BCR risk remain underexplored. This study systematically evaluated 151 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in domain-containing genes in 458 patients with prostate cancer and BCR, followed by validation in an independent cohort of 185 patients.

High expression of drug efflux pump makes antibiotics ineffective against bacteria, leading to drug-resistant strains and even the emergence of "superbugs". Herein, we design and synthesize a dual functional o-nitrobenzene (NB)-modified conjugated oligo-polyfluorene vinylene (OPFV) photosensitizer, OPFV-NB, which can depress efflux pump activity and also possesses photodynamic therapy (PDT) for synergistically overcoming drug-resistant bacteria. Upon light irradiation, the OPFV-NB can produce aldehyde active groups to covalently bind outer membrane proteins, such as tolerant colicin (TolC), blocking drug efflux of bacteria.

This study aimed to establish a complete atlas of retinal cells in lens-induced myopia (LIM) and electroacupuncture (EA) intervention by single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and to explore the potential mechanism of EA in improving experimental myopia progression in guinea pigs. scRNA-seq is used to assess changes in individual cellular gene levels in the retina of LIM- and EA-treated guinea pigs.
