Limonin is a natural triterpenoid isolated from citrus fruit. In the present study, we examined the effects of limonin on cardiometabolic alterations in diet-induced metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome was induced in rats by feeding them a high-fat (HF) diet plus 15% fructose in drinking water for 16 weeks.
