Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a most common devitalizing complication of diabetes mellitus, which is primarily characterized by sensory loss, paresthesia, prickling, pain, or allodynia.
Objectives: To evaluate the relative efficacy and safety of the interventions used in the DPN pain management and rank their order.
Study Design: A systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA).
Direct engineering of material properties through exploitation of spin, phonon, and charge-coupled degrees of freedom is an active area of development in materials science. However, the relative contribution of the competing orders to controlling the desired behavior is challenging to decipher. In particular, the independent role of phonons, magnons, and electrons, quasiparticle coupling, and relative contributions to the phase transition free energy largely remain unexplored, especially for magnetic phase transitions.

Diagnosis is always challenging due to heterogeneous clinical presentation. However, with the evolution and better understanding of its biology, many of these children are being diagnosed early and offered appropriate therapy.

Primary objective of study was to analyse the 14-day and 28-day mortality. Secondary objectives were to correlate age, comorbidities and remission status with outcome.

The current systematic review aimed to provide baseline data on rodent helminths to recognize the threats of helminth parasites on public health in the Middle East region. Following a systematic search on PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, a total of 65 research studies on rodent cestodes, nematodes, and trematodes, which were conducted in the countries of the Middle East, were analyzed.

To address this question, this study compares the outcomes of robotic kidney transplants, with those of open transplant in these patients. This study was a retrospective analysis of outcomes (renal function and complications), of all pediatric patients (<18 years of age), who underwent kidney transplant at our institute, after 2014, till their last follow-up.

Design: Cases were evaluated as two groups: Group 1 (n = 56; DBA-23, FA-18, DC-2, UBMFS-13) included children with suspected IBMFS based on clinical phenotype and accessible lab investigations and Group 2 (n = 53) included children with IAA treated with IST. Targeted NGS was carried out in a subset of these children (n = 42) and supplemented with WES wherever required.
Management of primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO) in women is difficult. Surgical treatment in the form of bladder neck incision (BNI) is indicated in many cases. There is no defined consensus on the best surgical technique of BNI in women.

They are widely reported in children and young adults. Nearly 50% of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor harbor rearrangement in anaplastic lymphoma kinase () gene with the majority expressing ALK protein.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective review of all consecutive, open, live-related renal transplants with double RA with significant luminal discrepancy performed at our center from January 2014 to September 2018 was undertaken.
Objectives: To describe the clinical profile, intensive care needs, outcome, and predictors of mortality in critically ill children with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.
Design: Retrospective case series.
Setting: PICU of a tertiary care teaching hospital in North India.
Background: The increasing antimalarial drug resistance is a significant hindrance to malaria control and elimination programs. For the last six decades, chloroquine (CQ) plus pyrimethamine remains the first-line treatment for P. vivax malaria.

We uncover a spectacular, extreme softening and reconstruction of an entire manifold of low-energy acoustic and optic branches across a structural transition, reflecting strong directionality in bonding strength and anharmonicity. Further, our results solve a prior controversy by revealing the soft-mode mechanism of the phase transition that impacts thermal transport and thermoelectric efficiency.

The aim of this study was to compare the relative efficacy and safety of IAs for the management of DKA using an indirect treatment comparison (ITC).

Despite several technological advances, many centers with resource-limited settings continue to use either reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and/or fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to identify prognostically relevant CAs. We evaluated a simple and cost-effective triple-probe FISH strategy on air-dried blood and bone-marrow smears and compared its performance with a multiplex RT-PCR-based approach in the prognostication of pediatric BCP-ALL patients.

The pathogenesis involves mutations in SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulator chromatin group A4 (SMARCA4)/Brahma-related gene 1 (BRG1) and/or SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulator chromatin group A2 (SMARCA2)/Brahma homolog (BRM).

Background: In the past decade, cervical cancer has gone from being the second to the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide, but remains the second most common in developing countries. This cancer is most commonly caused by high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV), mainly type 16 (HPV16), which are sexually transmitted. This study aimed to investigate the usefulness of a cyclic synthetic peptide designed from the major L1 capsid protein of HPV16 for detecting anti-HPV16 antibodies.

Bilirubin production and clearance are determined by genetic as well as environmental variables like ineffective erythropoiesis, hemolysis, infection-induced hepatic injury, and drug- or iron-related toxicities. We studied the frequency of the Gilbert syndrome (GS), a common hereditary cause of hyperbilirubinemia in 102 TDβT patients aged 13-43 years (median 26 years).
