The use of 3D imaging has increased as a practical and useful tool for plastic and aesthetic surgery planning. Specifically, the possibility of representing the patient breast anatomy in a 3D shape and simulate aesthetic or plastic procedures is a great tool for communication between surgeon and patient during surgery planning. For the purpose of obtaining the specific 3D model of the breast of a patient, model-based reconstruction methods can be used.

Diagnostic performance of MR imaging for the diagnosis of pelvic endometriosis are good. Even if some differences of performances exists according the location considered, the risk of misdiagnosis is lower than 10% for trained teams (NP2). The performance of pelvic MR imaging and surgery are quite similar to diagnose endometrioma (sensitivity and specificity>90%).

Deep endometriosis with colorectal involvement is considered one of the most severe forms of the disease due to its impact on patients' quality of life and fertility but also by the difficulties encountered by the clinicians when proposing a therapeutic strategy. Although the literature is very rich, evidence based medicine remains poor explaining the great heterogeneity concerning the management of such patients. Surgery therefore remains a therapeutic option.

The article presents French guidelines for surgical management of endometriosis. Surgical treatment is recommended for mild to moderate endometriosis, as it decreases pelvic painful complaints and increases the likelihood of postoperative conception in infertile patients (A). Surgery may be proposed in symptomatic patients with ovarian endometriomas which diameter exceeds 20mm.

The aim of this work was to study the genetic basis of the backfat expression of lipid-related genes associated with meat quality traits in pigs. We performed a genome-wide association study with the backfat gene expression measured in 44 genes by qPCR and the PorcineSNP60 BeadChip genotypes in 115 Iberian x Landrace backcross animals. A total of 193 expression-associated SNPs located in 19 chromosomal regions were associated with expression levels of ACSM5, ELOVL6, FABP4, FADS2, and SLC27A4 genes.

Unlabelled: Ivermectin is a pivotal drug for the control of onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis, which is increasingly identified as a useful drug for the control of other Neglected Tropical Diseases. Its role in the treatment of soil transmitted helminthiasis through improved efficacy against Trichuris trichiura in combination with other anthelmintics might accelerate the progress towards breaking transmission. Ivermectin is a derivative of Avermectin B1, and consists of an 80:20 mixture of the equipotent homologous 22,23 dehydro B1a and B1b.

Introduction: The rheumatology service of Ciudad Real Hospital, located in an autonomous community of that same name that is nearly in the center of Spain, implemented a self-management model of successive appointments more than 10 years ago. Since then, the physicians of the department schedule follow-up visits for their patients depending on the disease, its course and ancillary tests. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the self-management model for successive appointments in the rheumatology service of Ciudad Real Hospital versus the model of external appointment management implemented in 8 of the hospital's 15 medical services.

Study Question: What are the fertility outcomes in women wishing to conceive after experiencing a severe complication from surgical removal of colorectal endometriosis?

Summary Answer: The pregnancy rate (PR) among women who wished to conceive after a severe complication of surgery for colorectal endometriosis was 41.2% (spontaneously for 80%, after ART procedure for 20%).

What Is Known Already: While the long-term benefit of surgery on pain and quality of life is well documented for women with colorectal endometriosis, it exposes women to the risk of severe complications.

Considerable heterogeneity exists in outcomes of early endometrial cancer (EC) according to the type but also the histological grading. Our goal was to describe the immunohistochemical profiles of type I EC according to grades and type II EC, to identify groups of interacting proteins using principal component analysis (PCA) and unsupervised clustering. We studied 13 immunohistochemical markers (steroid receptors, pro/anti-apoptotic proteins, metalloproteinases (MMP) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP), and CD44 isoforms known for their role in endometrial pathology.

Introduction: Treatment for pain and related conditions has been identified as the most common reason for Emergency Department (ED) visits. Concerns exist regarding the effects of opioid pain medications on cognition and patient ability to consent for procedures, hospital admission, or to refuse recommended medical interventions. This study was undertaken to identify cognitive skills before and after opioid pain medication in the ED setting.

Endometriosis is a benign pathology that affects 3% of the general population and about 10% of women of reproductive age. Three anatomoclinical entities are described: peritoneal, ovarian (endometrioma) and deep endometriosis characterized by the infiltration of anatomical structures or organs beyond the peritoneum. Laparoscopic surgery should be performed, as this is associated with a reduction in postoperative complications, length of hospitalization and convalescence.

Deep infiltrating endometriosis is the most severe form of the disease, defined by infiltration beneath the peritoneum greater than 5mm. It affects several anatomical locations including the bladder, the vesico-uterine cul-de-sac, the torus uterinum, the uterosacral ligament, rectovaginal septum and the colon-rectum. Deep infiltrating endometriosis is associated with infertility.
