Direct magnetic writing of ferromagnetic nanoscale elements provides an alternative pathway for potential application in data storage or spintronic devices. Magnetic patterning due to local chemical disordering of FeAl thin films results in adjacent nanoscale regions that possess two different phases, a low-magnetization and high-coercive chemically ordered phase (non-irradiated ferromagnetic area, NIFM) and a high-magnetization and low-coercive chemically disordered phase (irradiated ferromagnetic area, IMF). Depending on the volume of NIFM and IFM phases, different interaction mechanisms were revealed.

These clocks are widely used to measure the age of tissues and cells. The discrepancy between epigenetic age (EpiAge), as estimated by these clocks, and chronological age is referred to as EpiAge acceleration.

Skin involvement is common and can have a heterogeneous clinical presentation. Herein, we describe a 76-year-old woman with no history of chemotherapy or recent mushroom ingestion that presented with focal areas of flagellate purpura secondary to bacteremia.

Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study, between March 27, 2004 and November 2, 2022, in 279 ICUs of 95 hospitals in 44 cities in 9 Asian countries (China, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam).
Objective: To identify risk factors for mortality in intensive care units (ICUs) in Asia.
Design: Prospective cohort study.
Setting: The study included 317 ICUs of 96 hospitals in 44 cities in 9 countries of Asia: China, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Background: Motor speech treatment approaches have been applied in both adults with aphasia and apraxia of speech and children with speech-sound disorders. Identifying links between motor speech intervention techniques and the modes of action (MoA) targeted would improve our understanding of how and why motor speech interventions achieve their effects, along with identifying its effective components. The current study focuses on identifying potential MoAs for a specific motor speech intervention technique.

The embedded ferromagnet possesses a periodic magnetic domain structure, which transforms to a single domain structure in the freestanding case. The two cases differ in their dynamic response, for instance, the resonance field for the uniform (k = 0) mode at ~ 14 GHz excitation displays a shift from 209 to 194 mT, respectively for the embedded and freestanding cases, with the external magnetic field applied along the long axis.

Introduction: Various therapies have been tried for Covid disease including the use of antivirals, steroids, monoclonal antibodies and convalescent plasma.
Method: The study was conducted on convalescent plasma transfused ICU patients. Part A of the study involves clinical outcomes based on gender, age, comorbidities, blood group, and the average length of stay.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the suture versus sutureless surgery in impacted mandibular third molar and to evaluate the morbidity and complications associated with each technique.
Materials And Methods: A total of 50 patients with asymptomatic impacted mandibular third molars were randomly divided into two groups of 25 patients each. Radiographs were taken to assess the angulation and degree of eruption in the third molar.
Backgrounds: Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a chronic, insidious disease and is said to have a multifactorial origin with varied clinical manifestation of repeated oral ulcers, intolerance to spicy food, mucosal blanching resulting in stiffness of the oral mucosa and formation of taut bands leading to reduced mouth opening. We designed this study to systematically review the literature on QOL in OSMF and hope to make recommendations for future course of QOL assessment in OSMF.
Methods: An electronic bibliographic search of studies was done from year 1900-2019 using specified keywords.
Saudi Arabia is dry and devoid of permanent water sources. Saudi Arabia's desalination plants, which provide drinkable water, rely on its oil reserves. It is one of the world's driest countries, but its population uses fresh water at a third rate.

Methods: The authors conducted this systematic review according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines after exclusion and inclusion criteria were applied and the following outcome parameters were evaluated: pain, swelling, trismus, quality of life, number of analgesics consumed, and adverse events. RevMan Cochrane Collaboration software, Version 5.
Nuclear resonant reflectivity (NRR) from an FeAl film was measured using synchrotron radiation at several grazing angles near the critical angle of total external reflection. Using laterally resolved measurements after irradiation with 20 keV Ne ions of gradually varying fluence of 0-3.0 × 10 ions cm, the progressive creation of the ferromagnetic A2 phase with increasing ion fluence was confirmed.

Bacterial diversity is thus considered a key component of soil health. Conventional agriculture reduces bacterial diversity in many ways.

Patients with acne are increasingly using sunbeds as a self treatment despite the harmful effects. Little is known about sunbed use in adult patients with acne under dermatology care. This questionnaire study explored prevalence and behaviours surrounding sunbed use in patients with acne at a UK dermatology centre.

The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of adolescents under the risk of being underweight, overweight, and obese among 14-17-year-old Turkish adolescents. In addition, we examined the association between unhealthy body weight categories and lifestyle factors.
