Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection remains a major public health concern despite a significant decline in HIV-related mortality and morbidity. These significant advances are linked mostly to effective antiretroviral therapy (ART). However, these treatments are not without consequences on other microorganisms in our body, especially when they must be used for life.

Methods: A single-center, prospective cross-sectional study was conducted from May to September 2022 at the Pediatric Hospital in Bamako, Mali. Children aged 1 to 15 years underwent phlebotomy or fingertip blood sampling for SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing using the Abbott Panbio COVID-19 IgG/IgM Test.
Inflammation is an initial biological reaction that occurs in response to infection caused by foreign pathogens or injury. This process involves a tightly controlled series of signaling events at the molecular and cellular levels, with the ultimate goal of restoring tissue balance and protecting against invading pathogens. Malfunction in the process of inflammation can result in a diverse array of diseases, such as cardiovascular, neurological, and autoimmune disorders.

Methods: This retrospective observational, single-center study included all consecutive patients admitted for AIS involving the anterior circulation and treated with IVT and/or EVT between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2023. The collected data were used to identify the characteristics of patients with negative DWI and to compare outcomes in patients with negative and positive DWI.
Background: Doravirine is the latest NNRTI to be approved for the treatment of HIV-1 and has a different resistance profile from first-generation NNRTIs. Our aim was to investigate the virological efficacy of antiretroviral treatment including doravirine in people living with HIV-1 (PLWHIV), the factors associated with virological failure (VF) and those associated with the emergence of reverse transcriptase (RT) mutations in the case of VF.
Methods: A retrospective national survey of PLWHIV who were either naive or experienced on antiretroviral treatment including doravirine was conducted.
Chronic inflammatory diseases are caused due to prolonged inflammation at a specific site of the body. Among other inflammatory diseases, bacterial meningitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), atherosclerosis and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are primarily focused on because of their adverse effects and fatality rates around the globe in recent times. In order to come up with novel strategies to eradicate these diseases, a clear understanding of the mechanisms of the diseases is needed.

Inflammation can be classified into two types: acute inflammation and chronic inflammation. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) are used to treat both acute and chronic inflammatory disorders.

Intensification of these extensive intercropping systems in order to meet future food demand is critical. This study aims at evaluating the agronomic performance of the intensification of millet-cowpea intercropping with low cowpea density, and its variation with climate variability, using an on-station experiment in Bambey, Senegal.

IBD has become an increasingly common condition in both developed and developing nations over the last few decades, owing to a variety of factors like a rising population and diets packed with processed and junk foods. While the root pathophysiology of IBD is unknown, treatments are focused on medications aimed to mitigate symptoms.

Various investigations are being performed worldwide to understand the pathophysiology of these diseases, develop novel bioactive compounds and inhibitors to target the ailment. Generally, in vivo models are used to understand the disease outcome and therapeutic suppressing effects for which the animals are chemically or physically induced to mimic the onset of definite disease conditions.

Although has been studied for decades, its polar components were rarely explored. The current phytochemical investigation of Amaryllidaceae alkaloids from led to the identification of three previously undescribed compounds: -demethyl-norlycoramine (), (-)-2--pseudolycorine () and (+)-2--pseudolycorine (), together with eight known compounds: 6α-hydroxyhippeastidine (), 6β-hydroxyhippeastidine (), lycorine (), 2--lycorine (), zephyranthine (), ungeremine (), pancratistatin () and 9--demethyl-7--methyllycorenine ().

There is growing evidence that Lineage IV is becoming the predominant viral lineage, replacing Lineage I and II in West Africa. As part of a regional investigation, samples collected in Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Ghana were screened for the presence of PPRV.

Methods: Bari-SolidAct is a phase-3, multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, enrolling participants from June 3, 2021 to March 7, 2022, stopped prematurely for external evidence. Patients with severe/critical COVID-19 were randomised to Baricitinib 4 mg once daily or placebo, added to standard of care.
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the number of patients in ICUs leading to a worldwide shortage of the intravenous sedative agents obligating physicians to find alternatives including inhaled sedation. Inhaled sedation in French ICU has been previously explored in 2019 (VOL'ICU study). This survey was designed to explore the use of inhaled sedation two years after our first survey and to evaluate how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the use of inhaled sedation.

The current paper intends to explore a local community's perceptions regarding household water purification (HWP) strategies, namely before and after trying a new method: moringa seeds powder (moringa-teabag).
Methods: In September 2020, six focus group discussions (N = 65) assessing perceptions about the usefulness of Moringa oleifera Lam (Moringaceae) as a HWP method (before moringa-based HWP trials), and questionnaires (N = 104) evaluating successes and identifying difficulties (after one week of moringa-based HWP trials).
This paper aims to prove the feasibility of a 4D monitoring solution (3D modeling and temporal monitoring) for the sandbar and to characterize the species' role in the landscape. The developed solution allows studying the interaction between the river dynamics and vegetation using a network of low resolution and low power sensors. The issues addressed concern the feasibility of implementing a photogrammetry solution using low-resolution sensors as well as the choice of the appropriate sensor and its testing according to different configurations (image capture and storage on the sensor and/or image transmission to a centralization node) and also the detailed analysis of the different phases of the process (camera initialization, image capture, network transmission and selection of the most appropriate standby mode).
