Introduction: Morphometric evaluation of the pedicle and isthmus of second cervical vertebra (C2) (Axis) is extremely vital before contemplating any surgical stabilization involving the Craniovertebral region, in view of its proximity to the vertebral artery and the cervical nerve root. The dimensions of pedicles and isthmuses in C2 vary between individuals and there is paucity of data in the Indian population. This study strives to measure the average pedicle and isthmus dimensions in a sample of population, which would enable selection of screws with safest diameters to be used in C2; thereby avoiding injury to adjacent neurovascular structures.

Although multiple reconstructive alternatives are available, the complexity of the fracture, amount of bone loss and the patient's expectations determine the treatment paradigm, before contemplating the pertinent treatment option for the patient.
Case Report: We report the case of a 47-year-old male patient involved in a road traffic accident in which he sustained an open distal femoral intra-articular fracture with substantial loss of distal femoral shaft and the entire metaphyseal regions.
Introduction: Lumbar spondylolisthesis is a common cause of morbidity in middle aged individuals. Spinal fusion with instrumentation has become the gold standard for lumbar segmental instability. Studies which correlate the improvement in radiology postoperatively with functional outcome show contrasting reports.

We present a case of lumbar disc prolapse causing CES in an uncharacteristic way, knowledge of which is essential for orthopaedicians to diagnose this condition early and prevent neurological complications.
Case Report: A 32-year-old male patient presented to us with complaints of inability to lift his left ankle and numbness over his left leg and ankle for 14 days.
Introduction: Displaced middle third clavicle fractures were treated conservatively with figure of '8' harness in the past. Current management trend in treating displaced clavicle fractures with internal fixation provide rigid immobilization and pain relief avoiding non-union, shortening and deformity. This study prospectively evaluates the functional outcome of 25 patients with clavicle fractures treated surgically.

Purpose: To measure C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in 30 patients with open fractures and correlate the levels with infection.
Methods: 29 men and one woman aged 9 to 70 (mean, 37) years presented with open fractures of the upper or lower extremity within 12 hours of injury and underwent debridement and external fixation 3 to 40 (mean, 16) hours after injury. Serum CRP and IL-6 concentrations were measured preoperatively and on postoperative days 2 and 4.

Introduction: Letournel and Judet divided acetabular fractures into elementary and associated types based on the anterior and posterior columns and walls involvement. We report the case of a patient with an isolated quadrilateral plate fracture of pelvis which does not fit in the existing classification.
Case Description: A young lady sustained injury to the right hip following a fall from stairs.
Osteomyelitis variolosa is an infection of bone and joints by smallpox virus variola major, most commonly in the elbows, wrists, ankles, hands, and feet. We report one such case in a 70-year-old woman who presented with deformities of the right knee, both elbows and ankles, and the left hand, and a history of childhood fever with rashes. Her lateral femoral condyle of the right knee was hypoplastic with patella baja.
