Metaproteomics, utilizing high-throughput LC-MS, offers a profound understanding of microbial communities. Quantitative metaproteomics further enriches this understanding by measuring relative protein abundance and revealing dynamic changes under different conditions. However, the challenge of missing peptide quantification persists in metaproteomics analysis, particularly in data-dependent acquisition mode, where high-intensity precursors for MS2 scans are selected.

Selenium (Se) is an essential trace element that plays a vital role in various physiological functions of the human body, despite its small proportion. Due to the inability of the human body to synthesize selenium, there has been increasing concern regarding its nutritional value and adequate intake as a micronutrient. The efficiency of selenium absorption varies depending on individual biochemical characteristics and living environments, underscoring the importance of accurately estimating absorption efficiency to prevent excessive or inadequate intake.

Metaproteomics based on high-throughput tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) plays a crucial role in characterizing microbiome functions. The acquired MS/MS data is searched against a protein sequence database to identify peptides, which are then used to infer a list of proteins present in a metaproteome sample. While the problem of protein inference has been well-studied for proteomics of single organisms, it remains a major challenge for metaproteomics of complex microbial communities because of the large number of degenerate peptides shared among homologous proteins in different organisms.

Objective: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Somatic copy number alterations (SCNAs) have been used to predict responses to therapies in many cancers, including lung cancer. However, little is known about whether they are predictive of radiotherapy outcomes.

Sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 15 (Siglec-15) is considered a novel anti-tumor target comparable to programmed cell death 1 ligand 1(PD-L1). However, little is known about Siglec-15. Our study aims to understand its expression signature, prognosis value, immune infiltration pattern, and biological function using multi-omic bioinformatics from public databases and verify them in lung cancer patients.

: Topoisomerase IIA (TOP2A) gene encodes DNA topoisomerase enzyme and has been reported that TOP2A is broadly expressed in many types of cancers. Our study aims to investigate the prognostic effect of TOP2A on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and the potential molecular mechanism of TOP2A to tumorigenesis. : Bioinformatical analysis, real-time PCR and Western blot were applied to explore the expression level of TOP2A.

Background: To compare the clinical outcomes of radical hysterectomy (RH) with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in women with stage IB2-IIA cervical cancer.

Methods: Based on articles published up to December 2017, a literature search of PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases was conducted to identify eligible studies. Overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS) with hazard ratios (HRs), and toxicities with odds ratios (ORs) were analyzed.

Background: The aim of this study is to systematically evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects of Lobaplatin and Cisplatin in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion.

Methods: The databases of Medline (PubMed), Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane, Wanfang, CNKI and VIP were retrieved so as to search the studies about the randomized controlled clinical trials (RCT) that compared the Lobaplatin and Cisplatin for malignant pleural effusion. The main outcome indicators include objective response rate, complete response, partial response, nephrotoxicity, chest pain, gastrointestinal reaction, myelosuppression, fever response and hepatotoxicity.
