Background: Studies have extensively examined the factors contributing to the onset of occupational stress, burnout, and depression. However, the relationship between these variables is limited.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the association between occupational stress, burnout, and depressive symptoms and to investigate the mediating effect of burnout between occupational stress and depressive symptoms in medical staff.

Occupational stress, cumulative fatigue, and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are major concerns in the field of occupational health. Previous studies on occupational health focused on key industries, such as medical care, while there were few related studies on Information Technology (IT) industry. Our study explored the factors influencing occupational stress, cumulative fatigue, and musculoskeletal disorders in the IT industry.

From Foxtail Millet Husk (Waste) to Bioactive Phenolic Extracts Using Deep Eutectic Solvent Extraction and Evaluation of Antioxidant, Acetylcholinesterase, and α-Glucosidase Inhibitory Activities.

Foxtail millet husk (FMH) is generally removed and discarded during the first step of millet processing. This study aimed to optimize a method using deep eutectic solvents (DESs) combined with ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) to extract phenols from FMH and to identify the phenolic compositions and evaluate the biological activities. The optimized DES comprised L-lactic acid and glycol with a 1:2 molar ratio by taking the total flavonoid content (TFC) and total phenolic content (TPC) as targets.
