This study aims to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness of an optimized treatment approach for complex renal calculi, utilizing visual needle nephroscopy in conjunction with standard PCNL and holmium YAG laser. We collected data from 62 patients diagnosed with complex kidney stones who underwent this combined procedure using the visual needle nephroscope (Needle-perc, Youcare Tech, Wuhan, China). The percutaneous nephroscopic working channel was established by visual needle nephroscope, and the primary channel was expanded to 20 F to treat most of the main body of the calculi with a 550 μm holmium laser fiber.

Accurate measurement of a Radar Cross-Section (RCS) is a critical technical challenge in assessing the stealth performance and scattering characteristics of radar targets. Traditional RCS measurement methods are limited by high costs, sensitivity to environmental conditions, and difficulties in distinguishing local scattering features of targets. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel RCS measurement method based on enhanced imaging and scattering center extraction.

In recent years, the relationship between intestinal flora and post-operative recovery, particularly in colorectal cancer (CRC) surgery patients, it has been hypothesized that intestinal flora stability influences wound healing, reduces complications and improves overall recovery outcomes after surgical interventions. This study examined the relationship between intestinal flora stability and post-operative recovery in patients undergoing CRC surgery. Between May 2020 and 2023, 80 CRC patients from our hospital's Colorectal Surgery Department were enrolled.

In this work, a triarylimidazole-containing diamine 2-(4-methylphenyl)-4,5-bis(4-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)phenyl)imidazole (MPBAI) was firstly synthesized and polymerized with 1,2,3,4-cyclobutanetetracarboxylic dianhydride (CBDA) to prepare transparent polyimide (PI) films by means of thermal imidization. Then, inorganic nanoparticles including silica (SiO), alumina (AlO) and silicon nitride (SiN) were separately introduced into the PI(MPBAI-CBDA) with different mass fractions of 0.02%, 0.

In this paper, three kinds of triphenyl imidazole-containing diamines including 2-phenyl-4,5-bis(4-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)phenyl)imidazole (PBAI), 2-(4-methylphenyl)-4,5-bis(4-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethyl phenoxy)phenyl)imidazole (MPBAI) and 2-(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4,5-bis(4-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)phenyl)imidazole (TFPBAI) were synthesized. Then, a series of polyimide (PI) films were prepared by the solution polymerization of the three diamines and various dianhydrides, such as 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride (6FDA), 1,2,4,5-pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and 1,2,3,4-cyclobutanetetracarboxylic dianhydride (CBDA), followed by thermal imidization. The effects of chemical structures on the solubilities and thermal, optical and electrochemical properties of polyimides were explored.

Despite the growing body of studies on the various fracturing phrases, the research on the differences between subterranean and surface microorganisms at shale gas drilling sites is still limited. Generally, shale gas development and the production process are divided into drilling and fracturing. The distribution of microbial communities in the latter has been paid some attention, but a deficit remains in terms of our understanding of the microbial community in the former, especially for the phase of drilling flowback and drilling flowback surface.

A novel PRRSV strain was isolated in China that was genetically similar to the NADC30 strain which is reported to have spread throughout China. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the cross-protective efficacy of the live vaccine TJM-F92 in young pigs against challenge with a NADC30-like strain, HN201605. Twenty-five PRRSV- and antibody-free pigs were randomly divided into the following five groups: Vac/ChA, Unvac/ChA, Vac/ChB, Unvac/ChB and the mock.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is a causative agent of porcine intestinal disease, which causes vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration in piglets. PEDV is associated with the most severe pathogenesis in one-week-old piglets, with mortality rates reaching 100%. A PEDV strain was isolated from the intestinal tract of diarrheic piglets from a pig farm in Jiangsu Province in March 2016, termed the JS201603 isolate.

Background: H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) has raised global concern for causing huge economic losses in poultry industry, and an effective vaccine against HPAI is highly desirable. Live attenuated influenza vaccine with trunctated NS1 protein as a potential strategy will be extremely useful for improving immune efficacy.

Methods: A series of H5N1 avian influenza virus reassortants harboring amino-terminal 48, 70, 73, and 99 aa in NS1 proteins, along with a modified low pathogenic HA protein was generated, and named as S-HALo/NS48, S-HALo/NS70, S-HALo/NS73, and S-HALo/NS99, respectively.

Objective: In order to identify Sigma factor associated with biofilm formation of Salmonella pullorum, we determined the gene expression in the wild type strain and biological characteristics of deletion mutants.

Methods: Biofilm forming ability of S. pullorum strain was detected by crystal violet assay.

Background: Although there is increasing recognition of the role of somatic mutations in genetic disorders, the prevalence of somatic mutations in neurodevelopmental disease and the optimal techniques to detect somatic mosaicism have not been systematically evaluated.

Methods: Using a customized panel of known and candidate genes associated with brain malformations, we applied targeted high-coverage sequencing (depth, ≥200×) to leukocyte-derived DNA samples from 158 persons with brain malformations, including the double-cortex syndrome (subcortical band heterotopia, 30 persons), polymicrogyria with megalencephaly (20), periventricular nodular heterotopia (61), and pachygyria (47). We validated candidate mutations with the use of Sanger sequencing and, for variants present at unequal read depths, subcloning followed by colony sequencing.
