Background And Aims: Morgagni hernias are rare congenital diaphragmatic defects that can lead to bowel obstruction and incarceration if not repaired. While this disease typically manifests as respiratory distress, frequent respiratory infections, and infant growth failure, it can sometimes be accidentally discovered in adulthood through cross-sectional imaging. We aimed to report our experience managing this entity during 20 years at our referral center.

Designed for immediate drug release from microneedles (MNs) and sustained release from microcapsules (MCs), this system utilizes lidocaine hydrochloride as the model drug. The fabrication process involved casting the hydrogel into MN molds, with MCs embedded in the backing layer, establishing a dual-release mechanism.

Characterizing these modifications, especially PTM sites, is essential for unraveling complex biological systems. However, traditional experimental approaches, such as mass spectrometry, are time-consuming and expensive.

Nonetheless, strategies to encode the site-of-interest leveraging pLMs for per-residue prediction tasks, such as crotonylation (Kcr) prediction, remain largely uncharted.
Results: Herein, we adopt a range of approaches for utilizing pLMs by experimenting with different input sequence types (full-length protein sequence versus window sequence), assessing the implications of utilizing per-residue embedding of the site-of-interest as well as embeddings of window residues centered around it.
Nowadays, the automatic detection of driver fatigue has become one of the important measures to prevent traffic accidents. For this purpose, a lot of research has been conducted in this field in recent years. However, the diagnosis of fatigue in recent research is binary and has no operational capability.

Objectives: Determining the ovulation time (OVT) following ES with two different vaginal devices, its relation to progesterone and conception upon FTI with frozen/thawed semen.
Methods: Oestrus was synchronized using either controlled internal drug release (CIDR) (ewe, n = 6; ewe lamb, n = 5) or vaginal sponge (ewe, n = 6; ewe lamb, n = 5) insertion for 12 days, plus Equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) at devices removal (Day 0).
Objectives: Previous studies suggested a higher rate of COVID-19 infection in patients with multiple sclerosis than in the general population, and limited studies addressed the impact of COVID-19 and its vaccination in patients with multiple sclerosis in Iran. We decided to investigate the factors associated with COVID-19 infection, the effects and side effects of the COVID-19 vaccination in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Methods: We used the data of the patients with multiple sclerosis registered in a referral clinic in Kerman, one of the large cities in Iran (a population of 537,000 inhabitants), to explore the association between demographic variables, the history of COVID-19 vaccination, and the clinical outcomes.
The main purpose of the current study was to find suitable and optimum levels of protectants among chicken egg yolk plasma (CEYP) and low-density lipoproteins (LDLs), alone or supplemented with ewe or cow skim milk, for cryopreservation of ram semen. In Experiments 1 and 2, the CEYP (28%) freezing extender was enriched with ewe or cow milk (2.5%, 5%, 10%, or 20%; v/v), respectively.

Case Presentation: We present case of 11 COVID19 who were presented with localized skin ecchymosis lesions in different areas of the body and retroperitoneal hematoma in the posterior wall of the abdomen and chest.
Clinical Discussion: Cases of hematoma with severe COVID19 patients under anticoagulant therapy are reported in several case studies, particularly in geriatric population with the previous history of blood and/or cardiac disorders.
Breast diseases are a group of diseases that appear in different forms. An entire group of these diseases is breast cancer. This disease is one of the most important and common diseases in women.

Therefore, this study utilizes different machine learning scenarios to simulate the solubility of twelve non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in the supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO). The considered NSAIDs are Fenoprofen, Flurbiprofen, Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, Loxoprofen, Nabumetone, Naproxen, Nimesulide, Phenylbutazone, Piroxicam, Salicylamide, and Tolmetin.

This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-grouped clinical trial, which was designed to investigate the potential effects of melatonin add-on treatment with lithium and risperidone on acute manic episodes in patients with bipolar disorder (BD). A total of 54 patients were included and randomly assigned into two groups of melatonin and placebo. The trial group received 3 mg/day risperidone, 900 mg/day lithium, and 6 mg/day melatonin.

Background/aims: Bacteria species, which are used as probiotics, are lactic acid bacteria. The majority of them are under the genera Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. The aim of the present study was to isolate and identify Bifidobacterium and to evaluate the effects of their 24 h and 120 h cell-free supernatants (CFS) from both cultures on colon cancer cell line.

A wide range of sources supports that the link between diet and colorectal cancer may be due to an imbalance of the intestinal microflora. In this case, it seems that the probiotics may have a possible molecular mechanism via microRNAs (miRNAs). The present study is aimed to evaluate the effects of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum probiotics on the expression of miRNAs 135b, 26b, 18a, and 155 and their target genes, including APC, PTEN, KRAS, and PU.

In previous study, we revealed that unlike Bifidobacterium bifidum, the amount of Lactobacillus acidophilus remained almost unchanged in mice gut microflora in the long term, indicating more stability of L. acidophilus than B.

In this study, the antioxidant capacities of probioticated and nonprobioticated aril juices of sweet (SWV) and sour (SV) pomegranate cultivars were determined by two different methods: ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and 1,1-diphenyl 2-picrylhydrazyl assay. Total counts of Lactobacillus casei GG increased by about 3 log in SWV and 2 log in SV juices after incubation for 48 h.

In this paper we present joint decoding of JPEG2000 bitstreams and Reed-Solomon codes in the context of unequal loss protection. Using error resilience features of JPEG2000 bitstreams, the joint decoder helps to restore the erased symbols when the Reed-Solomon decoder fails to retrieve them on its own. However, the joint decoding process might become time-consuming due to a search through the set of possible erased symbols.
