Background: Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinical syndrome with numerous etiologies, mostly characterized by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) abnormalities in the posterior cerebral white and gray matter and acute neurological symptoms.
Aim: To examine the predisposing factors, clinical results, and radiological features of PRES in children diagnosed with malignancy.
Materials And Methods: The study included 20 patients (7 F/13 M) aged 4-16 years at the time of diagnosis who were diagnosed with malignancy and developed PRES during chemotherapy.
Background: Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is reportedly rare but has high morbidity and mortality risk in persons with hemophilia. Although the risk factors that facilitate bleeding are known, the factors affecting the sequelae are not well known.
Objectives: We planned to investigate the risk factors for neurologic sequelae in children and adolescents with hemophilia suffering from ICH.
Background: Our study aimed to investigate the factors associated with mothers' shaking behavior of their babies.
Methods: Sixty-three mothers who stated that they shook their babies (Group B) and 91 mothers who stated that they did not (Group A) among those who applied to or were followed up from the Pediatric Outpatient Clinics of our University Hospital were included. The mothers (with a baby aged 0-30 months) completed the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) and psychiatric rating scales measuring attachment styles, empathic tendency, perceived social support, and self-esteem.
While myocardial infarction is a rare, but known, potential side effect of snakebite envenomation, snake antivenom has thus far not been associated with any cardiovascular adverse events. We report the case of a 71-year-old man who developed an anterolateral MI during administration of Crotalidae immune F(ab')2 (equine) (ANAVIP), given as treatment for Crotalidae envenomation. The patient required cardiac catheterization with stenting of the left anterior descending artery and was discharged two days later on long-term clopidogrel and aspirin.

Objective: Neonatal sepsis and familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (fHLH) have similar clinical and laboratory symptoms and the possibility of overlooking fHLH diagnosis is high in newborns with sepsis. History of consanguineous marriage and/or sibling death, hepatomegaly/splenomegaly, and hyperferritinemia (>500 ng/mL) are likely to support fHLH in newborns with sepsis. Therefore, in newborns with sepsis in whom at least 2 of these 3 criteria were detected, genetic variants was investigated for the definitive diagnosed of fHLH.

In this multicenter study, we aimed to research the frequency of central nervous system (CNS) thrombosis occurring during treatment, hereditary and acquired risk factors, clinical and laboratory features of patients with thrombosis, treatment approaches, and thrombosis-related mortality and morbidity rates in pediatric ALL patients.
Procedure: Pediatric patients who developed CNS thrombosis during ALL treatment from 2010 to 2021 were analyzed retrospectively in 25 different Pediatric Hematology Oncology centers in Türkiye.
It is known that pneumothorax (PX) and pneumomediastinum (PM) develop due to COVID-19 disease. The objective of our study was to determine the prevalence of PX/PM due to COVID-19 in the intermediate intensive care unit (IMCU) and to evaluate the factors causing barotrauma and also the clinical outcomes of these patients. Objective: To compare the clinical outcomes of rattlesnake envenomation patients treated either with FabAV or F (ab')AV or a combination of these.

The present study brings together the opinions and daily routine clinical practices of physicians regarding the use of NOACs in the geriatric age group for the treatment of venous thromboembolic diseases.
Materials And Methods: The study accessed 274 physicians (197 attending, 70 resident and seven primary care physicians) with various specialties and academic positions through face-to-face interviews or e-mails, and asked them to complete a questionnaire form prepared for NOAC use on a voluntary basis between 1 May and 31 December 2019.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the opinions of health professionals (HPs) who provide family planning counselling (FPC) within the scope of primary health care services since they are perceived as role models by the society.
