GdSiAl single crystal has been investigated by means of magnetic and magneto-transport measurements and compared withdensity functional theory (DFT) calculations. Significant non-saturating magnetoresistance reaching∼18%at 12T and2Kwas observed, alongside the presence of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations with the fundamental frequencies 22.09T and 77.

Design And Participants: A patient-led working group was established to guide study design and to help validate findings. Patients with experience of receiving EBRT or TARGIT-IORT were purposively sampled by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major contributor to morbidity and mortality in India. CKD often coexists with heart failure (HF), diabetes, and hypertension. All these comorbidities are risk factors for renal impairment.

We explore the magnetotransport and thermoelectric (Seebeck and Nernst coefficients) properties of MnSnC, an antiperovskite magnetic Nodal line semimetal. MnSnC shows paramagnetic (PM) to concurrent antiferromagnetic (AFM)/ferromagnetic (FM) transition at∼ 286 K. The electrical resistivity and Seebeck coefficient indicate the importance of electron-magnon scattering in the concurrent AFM/FM regime.

The ocular analogue of a cerebral stroke is central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO), a medical emergency concerning the eyes. Most patients experience substantial acute vision loss with a visual acuity of 20/400 or worse, resulting in decreased quality of life (QoL) and decreased functional ability. An impending cerebral stroke and ischemic heart disease are also more likely.

Methods: Children aged 2-10 years received LAIV or intranasal placebo across 2015 and 2016, as per initial allocation. On days 2 and 4 post-vaccination, trained study nurses collected nasal swabs from randomly selected subset of trial participants based on operational feasibility, accounting for 10.
Introduction: Valve-in-valve (VIV) transcatheter valve replacement has emerged as a feasible and potentially safer treatment option for failed bioprosthetic surgical valves (BSVs). However, the VIV procedure carries an inherent risk of prosthesis-patient mismatch (PPM). Bioprosthetic valve fracture (BVF) and bioprosthetic valve remodeling (BVR) by either fracturing or stretching the surgical valve ring allows for a more optimal expansion of the transcatheter heart valve (THV) and beneficial effects on post-implant valve hemodynamics and perhaps long-term valve durability.

These include well-known conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as lesser-known conditions such as obesity-related glomerulopathy (ORG). The main etiology of ORG is podocyte damage, but contributing theories include dysfunctional renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system activation, hyperinsulinemia and lipid deposition.

Live attenuated influenza vaccines (LAIVs) can be administered intranasally, induce a broad and robust immune response, demonstrate higher yields during manufacturing as compared to inactivated influenza vaccines (IIVs), and thereby represent an attractive possibility for young children in developing countries. We summarize recent pediatric studies evaluating LAIV efficacy in developing countries where a large proportion of the influenza-virus-associated respiratory disease burden occurs.

ADPKD can eventually lead to end-stage renal disease. The etiology of ADPKD is genetic, resulting in the formation of cysts containing fluids on the kidneys.

An important subset of aHUS is the anti-factor H associated aHUS. This variant of aHUS can occur due to deletion of the complement factor H genes, and , along with the presence of anti-factor H antibodies.

We sought to identify predictors of APT cessation in a real-world cohort of patients undergoing NCS within 1 year of PCI.
Methods: Consecutive patients undergoing PCI at a tertiary center between 2011 and 2018 were prospectively enrolled.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a psychological, biological, or developmental disorder that affects basic mental functioning. AD is generally affiliated with marked discomfort and impaired social, professional, or other crucial aspects of life. AD is predominant worldwide, but a disparity in prevalence is observed amongst nations.

Materials And Methods: A survey involving private sector general dentists in the governorate of Manouba was performed. It contained 21 questions, and it was addressed to 111 dentists.
Aim: The present study was undertaken for assessing plasma osteocalcin levels, status of oral disease, and alteration in mandibular bone density in postmenopausal women (PMW).
Materials And Methods: In all, 80 premenopausal women and 80 PMW were enrolled. For analyzing the oral dryness, clinical score of oral dryness (CSOD) on a scale of up to 10 was used.
