Objective: This study aimed to evaluate patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) who underwent daratumumab (DARA) therapy.

Materials And Methods: This multicenter retrospective study included 134 patients who underwent at least two courses of DARA from February 1, 2018, to April 15, 2022. Epidemiological, disease, and treatment characteristics of patients and treatment-related side effects were evaluated.

The Relationship Between Fetal Central Nervous System Malformations and Modified Myocardial Performance Index.

Introduction: Fetal ventriculomegaly, the most commonly identified abnormality of the fetal central nervous system (CNS), has been associated with elevated levels of the modified myocardial performance index (mMPI). However, the impact of other CNS pathologies on mMPI has not yet been evaluated. This study aimed to investigate whether there were changes in the myocardial performance index of fetuses with CNS pathologies without congenital heart diseases.

Solid Particle Erosion Behavior on the Outer Surface of Basalt/Epoxy Composite Pipes Produced by the Filament Winding Technique.

Basalt/epoxy composite pipes in a [±55] winding configuration were produced on CNC filament winding machines (10 N fiber tension and ~11 mm bandwidth). In the experiments, a 34 m/s impact velocity was set using the double-disc method, and five different particle impingement angles (30, 45, 60, 75, and 90°) were used to determine the erosive effect on the outer surfaces of filament wound composite pipes under the influence of 600 μm erodent particles with angular geometry in the test set, complying with the ASTM G76-95 standard. The winding patterns in the lamina (±55 angle-ply laminate region) and zigzag (±55 zigzag region) regions of BFR/EP pipes were determined to have significant effects on solid particle erosion resistance, as evidenced by the SEM images.

Mode-locking in quadratically nonlinear waveguide arrays.

A two-dimensional theoretical model is constructed to describe optical mode-locking (ML) in quadratically nonlinear waveguide arrays (QWGAs). Steady-state solutions of the considered model are obtained by a modified pseudo-spectral renormalization algorithm, and the mode-locking dynamics of the model are investigated through direct simulation of the nonlinear evolution and a linear stability analysis of the solutions. It is shown that stable mode-locking of elliptic steady-state solutions in quadratically nonlinear waveguide arrays are possible for a wide range of parameters, suggesting that quadratically nonlinear materials are well suited for producing stable mode-locked states for a wide range of applications.

Spinal SFT/HPC is a rare entity; hence, it is not on the top of the differential diagnosis list when a clinician faces a spinal lesion. In the review of the literature, there exist less than 50 case reports of intradural extramedullary SFT/HPC.

The Real-World Experience With Single Agent Ibrutinib in Relapsed/Refractory CLL.

Introduction/background: The emergence of novel agents targeting the B-cell receptor pathway and BCL-2 has significantly changed the therapeutic landscape of CLL. We evaluated the safety and efficacy of single-agent ibrutinib in relapsed/refractory CLL in real-world settings.

Patients/methods: A total of 200 relapsed/refractory CLL patients with a median age of 68 were included in this retrospective, multicenter, non-interventional study.

Introduction: Roseola infantum is always considered to be among the differential diagnosis of young patients with fever and leukopenia whom to be strictly isolated with the preliminary diagnosis of COVID-19 until otherwise proven during the pandemic.

Preoperative Magnetic Resonance Volumetry in Predicting Myometrial Invasion, Lymphovascular Space Invasion, and Tumor Grade: Is It Valuable in International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Stage I Endometrial Cancer?

Objective: The aim of this retrospective single-center study was to evaluate the relationship between maximum tumor size, tumor volume, tumor volume ratio (TVR) based on preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) volumetry, and negative histological prognostic parameters (deep myometrial invasion [MI], lymphovascular space invasion, tumor histological grade, and subtype) in International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage I endometrial cancer.

Methods/materials: Preoperative pelvic MR imaging studies of 68 women with surgical-pathologic diagnosis of International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage I endometrial cancer were reviewed for assessment of MR volumetry and qualitative assessment of MI. Volume of the tumor and uterus was measured with manual tracing of each section on sagittal T2-weighted images.
