JAK/STAT signaling pathway plays a significant role in cytokines and growth factors signaling involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). STAT3 is a major downstream signaling mediator of important pro-inflammatory cytokines involved in Th-17 cell differentiation playing a significant role in regulating Th-17/ Treg balance and the development of autoimmune diseases, especially RA. Studies also have reported the role of the STAT3 pathway in inflammatory and destructive functions of synovial fibroblasts (SFs) in RA.

This study was aimed to investigate the relationship between glucotoxicity with the level of adipokines, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and hematological markers. Moreover, the study examined the potential modulatory effect of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) on the aforementioned markers associated with the sequelae of diabetes mellitus.

Extensive research has been conducted on biomarkers associated with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in both healthy individuals and those with various conditions, particularly heart diseases. However, there is a limited investigation into the relationship between widely used cardiac biomarkers known as natriuretic peptides, including Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), N-Terminal Pro-B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (NT-proBNP), and Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), and COVID-19 infection specifically in patients with heart failure. These natriuretic peptides assess the hemodynamic stress on the heart wall and have the potential to serve as biomarkers for evaluating the severity of COVID-19 infection in heart failure patients.

This disease has a mortality rate of about 3·7 percent, and successful therapy is desperately needed to combat it. The exact cellular mechanisms of COVID-19 need to be illustrated in detail.

Coagulation factor XII (FXII) is a key initiator of the contact pathway, which contributes to inflammatory pathways. FXII circulates as a zymogen, which when auto-activated forms factor XIIa (FXIIa). Here, the production of the recombinant FXIIa protease domain (βFXIIa) with yields of ∼1-2 mg per litre of insect-cell culture is reported.
