Doxycycline (Doxy) is a tetracycline antibiotic with a potent antibacterial activity against a broad range of bacteria. Using nanotechnology is one feasible way to increase the antibiotics' ability to penetrate the body and increase their antibacterial effectiveness. In this work, we report the formation of a stable green synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by chitosan with Doxy nanocomposite for the first time.

Despite intensive control efforts, Foot and mouth disease (FMD) outbreaks continue to occur regularly in Egypt and resulting in dramatic economic losses to the livestock industry. During 2018 and 2022, FMD was clinically suspected among previously vaccinated cattle in Beheira and Kafr El-Sheikh provinces, Egypt. FMDV RNA was detected in 18 (45%) out of 40 epithelial tissue samples using real-time RT-PCR based on a pan-FMDV primers set.

Stress is an inevitable problem experienced by people worldwide. Continuous exposure to stress can greatly impact mental activity as well as physical health thereby leading to several diseases. In this study, we investigate the effectiveness of audio binaural beat stimulation (BBs) in mitigating mental stress.

Classifying mental stress is important as it helps in identifying the type and severity of stress, which can inform the most appropriate treatment or intervention. In this study, we propose utilizing electroencephalography (EEG) signals with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to classify four mental states: rest, control-alert, stress and stress mitigation. The mental stress state was induced using Stroop color word test (SCWT) with time constrains and was then mitigated using 16 Hz Binaural beat stimulation (BBs).

Serotypes A, O and SAT 2 of the foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) are circulating in Egypt. The present study aimed to identify and molecularly characterize the FMDV strains circulating in Northern Egypt during an epidemic that struck the nation in 2022.

AKAV has not received enough attention in Egypt, and its evidence among Egyptian animals has never been reported. Therefore, this study used ELISA assay to investigate the seroprevalence of AKAV among Egyptian dairy and beef cattle in eight localities of Beheira province, north Egypt.

This study indicated the existence of the newly emerging foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) and first investigated its effect on the Egyptian water buffalo () and cattle calves in the Beheira province, north Egypt. Twenty tongue epithelial samples from diseased calves in five infected farms were randomly collected, prepared, and propagated using baby hamster kidney-21 (BHK-21) cells.

The encapsulation was followed by the loading of complexes on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) to generate a novel 6MP-CNPs-AuNPs nanocomposite to facilitate the chemo-photothermal therapeutic effect.
Methods: CNPs were produced based on the ionic gelation method of tripolyphosphate (TPP).
Background: The difficulty of achieving targeted drug delivery following administration of presently marketed anticancer therapeutics is still a concern. Metallic nanoparticles (NPs) appear to be promising in this regard. The present study focused on the use of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) as a drug carrier for anticancer Doxorubicin (DOX) forming DOX-AuNPs nanocomposite.

Lumpy skin disease (LSD) caused by the Capripoxvirus LSD virus which infects cattle, leading to a serious disease characterized by fever and the eruption of skin nodules all over the surface of the body. Our understanding of the pathogenesis of this disease is still incomplete, particularly the immunopathological alterations occurring in the skin nodules of infected animals. Therefore, we collected skin nodules from naturally infected cattle with different forms of the disease, both in the early stage of clinical infection and after disease progression.

Background: Bifidobacteria are gram-positive, probiotic, and generally regarded as safe bacteria. Techniques such as transformation, gene knockout, and heterologous gene expression have been established for Bifidobacterium, indicating that this bacterium can be used as a cell factory platform. However, there are limited previous reports in this field, likely because of factors such as the highly anaerobic nature of this bacterium.
