A New Extension of the Topp-Leone-Family of Models with Applications to Real Data.

In this article, we proposed a new extension of the Topp-Leone family of distributions. Some important properties of the model are developed, such as quantile function, stochastic ordering, model series representation, moments, stress-strength reliability parameter, Renyi entropy, order statistics, and moment of residual life. A particular member called new extended Topp-Leone exponential (NETLE) is discussed.

Regional infectious risk prediction of COVID-19 based on geo-spatial data.

After the first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was found, it is of considerable significance to divide the risk levels of various provinces or provincial municipalities in Mainland China and predict the spatial distribution characteristics of infectious diseases. In this paper, we predict the epidemic risk of each province based on geographical proximity information, spatial inverse distance information, economic distance and Baidu migration index. A simulation study revealed that the information based on geographical economy matrix and migration index could well predict the spatial spread of the epidemic.

Knowledge of venomous snakes, snakebite first aid, treatment, and prevention among clinicians in northern Nigeria: a cross-sectional multicentre study.

Background: Snakebite envenoming causes considerable morbidity and mortality in northern Nigeria. The clinician's knowledge of snakebite impacts outcome. We assessed clinicians' knowledge of snakebite envenoming to highlight knowledge and practice gaps for possible intervention to improve snakebite outcomes.
