Background: The benefit of antibiotic prophylaxis is uncertain when performing transperineal prostate biopsies. Judicious use of antibiotics is required as antimicrobial resistance increases worldwide. Patients And Methods: In this single-institution retrospective cohort study, 686 patients underwent a single session total or partial nephrectomy due to nonmetastatic RCC (nmRCC).
Objectives: To evaluate the effects of center experience and a variety of patient- and procedure-related factors on patient radiation exposure during prostatic artery embolization (PAE) in three Scandinavian centers with different PAE protocols and levels of experience. Understanding factors that influence radiation exposure is crucial in effective patient selection and procedural planning.
Methods: Data were collected retrospectively for 352 consecutive PAE procedures from January 2015 to June 2020 at the three centers.

Patients And Methods: We included 401 consecutive patients, of which 161 were biopsy-naïve. All underwent prebiopsy bi-parametric MRI; patients with positive MRI [prostate imaging reporting and data system (PI-RADS≥3)] underwent TB.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the post biopsy infection rate, feasibility and prostate cancer (PCa) detection rate (CDR) by performing transperineal MRI-TRUS fusion biopsy of the prostate (TPBx) under local anesthesia (LA) without antibiotic prophylaxis (AP).
Methods: We prospectively screened 766 men with suspicious lesions on mpMRI, an elevated PSA level or a suspect digital examination undergoing MRI-TRUS-TPBx in LA, from May 2019 to July 2020. Patients with the need for antibiotic prophylaxis or without a PI-RADS target lesion were excluded from final analyses.

Methods: This single-institution, retrospective study included all patients with treatment-naïve prostate cancer referred to whole-body MRI during 2016 and 2017. All were eligible for a metastatic workup according to the guidelines: PSA > 20 ng/ml and/or Gleason grade group ≥ 3 and/or cT ≥ 2c and/or bone symptoms.

Patients And Methods: From our multicentric database gathering data on 2,115 patients who underwent fusion biopsy with Koelis™ system between 2010 and 2017, we selected 1,119 patients who received targeted biopsies (a median of 3 for each target), followed by systematic sampling of the prostate (12 to 14 cores). Overall and clinically significant cancer detection rate (CDR) of Koelis™ fusion biopsies were assessed, comparing target and systematic biopsies.
