Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Characterization of Bioactive Compounds from (Burm. F.) Stem Bark with Promising Antiplasmodial Activity.

Objective: This study was carried out to evaluate the antiplasmodial activity of alcoholic and hydroalcoholic extract of stem bark as well as the determination of core structure fractionated from its crude extract.

Materials And Methods: The antiplasmodial activity of stem bark extracts was investigated by schizont maturation inhibition assay against (both chloroquine sensitive and resistant). The crude extract was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrophotometry (GC-MS).
