Exotic quantum transport phenomena established in Josephson junctions (JJs) are reflected by a nonsinusoidal current-phase relation (CPR). The solidified approach to measuring the CPR is via an asymmetric dc-SQUID with a reference JJ that has a high critical current. We probed this method by measuring CPRs of hybrid JJs based on the 3D topological insulator (TI) BiTeSe with a nanobridge acting as a reference JJ.

ZnCl hydrate, the main molten salt used in biomass conversion, combined with low concentration HCl is an excellent solvent for the dissolution and hydrolysis of the carbohydrates present in lignocellulosic biomass. The most recalcitrant carbohydrate, cellulose, is dissolved in a residence time less than 1 h under mild conditions without significant degradation. This technology is referred to as BIOeCON-solvent technology.

The hydrolytic degradation of polymer films, which were obtained by application of 2% and 3% chitosan solutions in 1% acetic acid on a base sheet has been investigated. As the solvent was removed, these firms were either treated with 0.5% NaOH for 3 min or with phosphate buffer (рН 8) for 10 min.

The surface morphology of Li-promoted MgO catalysts prepared using the sol-gel method (sg) and wet impregnation procedure (imp), respectively, has been studied by low-temperature infrared spectroscopy of adsorbed CO molecules. The results show that step sites, as unselective catalytic centers, are the major features existing on the surface of pure MgO, and those are active toward the oxidative conversion of propane. However, the concentration of these sites is drastically reduced by the incorporation of lithium ions in the MgO lattice.

Since 1980 operations for combined injuries of the liver and spleen have been made on 57 children aged from 5 through 16 years. Autografting of splenic tissue into the liver wound was performed in 17 (29.8%) patients using an original technique developed in experiments.

In 26 children presenting with chronic erosive gastritis, an unspecific proteinase-inhibitor potential was identified in the basal portion of the gastric juice in the period of exacerbation and incomplete remission. Revealed in the gastric content in the period of exacerbation was augmentation of the activity of elastase- and tripsinlike proteinases. In the period of remission, the indices have been shown to be lower but insignificantly, remaining significantly higher compared to those indices in the control group.

The paper presents the results of the physicochemical properties and corrosive activity of the new chlorine-containing compositions Ciaref and DP-1. Various microbiological, biochemical, and biophysical studies were conducted to examine different aspects of the mechanism of action of Ciaref and DP-1 on vegetative (Francisella tularensis) and sporal (Bacillus turingiensis) microorganisms. Suspension, test-surface irrigation, and aerosol techniques were employed under close industrial conditions to study the disinfecting properties of the agents in bacterial and sporal contamination.

Treatment of 192 children for hygromas of various localization by different methods is analysed. The results of histological examination showed these structures to be of dysplastic nature. An aspiration-cystotatic method of treatment was developed, which can be applied in outpatient practice and causes neither local nor general complications.

In cases of staphylococcal infection in children (osteomyelitis, purulent destructive pneumonia, phlegmons, abscesses) the use of counter immunoelectrophoresis (CIE) allowed one to detect antistaphylococcal antibodies (anti-poly-A beta) in 12.5-69.1% of cases and staphylococcal antigen in the blood serum in 6.
