Background: One of the promising methods of influencing the wound process is photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy. The optimal parameters of PBM therapy have not yet been found because the molecular mechanisms of light interaction with tissue are not fully understood.
Objective: Studying the influence of PBM of various parameters on the regulation of reparative process- es of chronic wounds using the example of indicators of aggregation activity of platelets, platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), interleukin-8 (IL-8), and amino-terminal propeptide of type III procollagen (PIIINP) at the remodeling stage.
Objective: Aim: The aim of the work was to study the ef f ect of photobiomodulation therapy on the regulation of disorders in the healing of chronic wounds at the remodeling stage using indicators of platelet aggregation activity, reactive oxygen species, platelet-derived growth factor, and interleukin-1β.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: The study included 3 groups of Wistar rats: intact animals and animals of the control and experimental groups, for which chronic wounds were simulated. Rats in the experimental group received photobiomodulation therapy once a day for 5 days.
Inroduction: The results of experimental and clinical studies in recent years indicate that the transplantation of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MMSCs) is a possible approach for the "restoration" of the immune system of patients with autoimmune diseases, in particular, rheumatoid arthritis. However, the strength and duration of the effect vary greatly, which indicates incomplete correction of the tested parameters, thereby opening up the prospect of improving this method of treatment by choosing dose-time parameters and methods of their administration. The aim of this research was to determine the indices of cellular immunity in animals with adjuvant arthritis and therapy with cryopreserved MMSCs derived from adipose and cartilage tissues.

Aim: To define the effect of donor and recipient gender on the results of kidney transplantation from living related donor.
Material And Methods: Group of 271 patients who underwent kidney transplantation from living related donor was analyzed. There were 115 women and 156 men.
Aim: To evaluate the results of kidney transplantation from alive related donor in patients with Alport syndrome and to compare with those in patients with kidney hypoplasia.
Material And Methods: We have analyzed 8 and 27 medical records of patients with Alport syndrome and kidney hypoplasia respectively. Following parameters were used - Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, Wilcox overall risk, percentage of transplants loss and mortality (Fisher's exact test calculation).
Old age-associated pathologies usually coincide with altered sphingolipid metabolism. In the present article, the role of acid sphingomyelinase (ASMase) in the age-dependent changes of sphingomyelin (SM) and ceramide contents in the tissues has been investigated by means of ASMase inhibitors, imipramine and zoledronic acid. It has been determined that ceramide content and ceramide/SM ratio increased, while SM level decreased in the heart, liver, blood serum and skeletal muscles of 24-month old rats in contrast to 3-month old animals.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe aim of our study was to investigate the role of intercellular mediators – interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1 RA), interleukin-17 (IL-17), receptor activator of nuclear factor kB ligand (RANKL) and osteoprotegerin in the mechanisms of metabolic regulation of renal and bone tissue on model of violations of bone remodeling in chronic kidney disease (CKD). It was found a significant increase in the content of cytokines IL-1 RA (4,207 ± 0,546 pg/ml), IL-17 (33,944 ± 0,938 pg/ ml), osteoprotegerin (28,338 ± 1,223 pg/ml) and RANKL (0,184 ± 0,018 pmol/l) in the serum of animals in violation of bone remodeling in CKD compared with the contents of the studied cytokines in animals in the control group (2,529 ± 0,132 pg/ml, 28,166 ± 0,526 pg/ml, 21,588 ± 0,763 pg/ml and 0,131 ± 0,006 pmol/l, respectively) (P<0.05).

Rats were either kept on the ad libitum diet or on a calorie restricted diet (70-80% reduction in total calories) without reduction in essential nutrients. It has been determined that calorie restricted diet decreased the ceramide, sphingomyelin, cardiolipin and phosphatidic acid levels in the all investigated tissues of the rats.
